It means, in 1987, Bill Mallory took shotgun while Bobby Knight was in the backseat. It means, the small victories, like watching Tevin Colman carry the rock and average 7.1 yards a carry throughout his 3 year career in the 812, are glorious to be a part of. It means, watching an IUFB game over an IUBB should both be playing at the same time. It means, while visiting btownbanners, spending most of if not all of my time in this section. It means, I can't tell you who's on the current IUBB roster and coaching staff but can probably tell you about 90% to 99% of players and coaches backgrounds on the IUFB roster. That's what 'focused on football' means for me anyway. Did u ever have the frozen White Russians at Bears? Yuuuuuuummmm Pagoda and Lebowski 2 Quote

Shaking hands with the HC of the football team has always meant more to me than shaking hands with HC of the basketball team. I've done both multiple times on multiple occasions in multiple decades. Just because I value one sport over the other doesn't mean I don't root for or even pay for tickets to attend the other sport. You asked a question and I provided what that question you asked meant to me. No less, no more. Just stating that a fan can actually focus on more than one team at a time. As a long time fan of both sports the one thing that use the infuriate me was when the football only fans blamed the basketball program for all the failures of the football program. That was total BS and created a losers mentality in the football program CSP 1 Quote
Pagoda Posted October 15 Posted October 15 If you want more Cig content, here is a longish Cig interview with a national guy in Klatt. Starts around 26 minutes in. Nothing direct about the coach opening rumors. Just mentions the usual he's said before about Pam/Scott, IU’s strong commitment to date, liking Bloomington, and how we have to get football investment to a top third level in the conference. I don’t think I’m being a homer, but as long as he’s comfortable with the commitment of the school to the program I just don’t see a scenario where he leaves. One of the guys on the Titus podcast said something like, “Cig wants to take the IU football program and shove it up everybody’s a$$.” Inelegantly put, but yeah. He’s that bittered up old dude who’s kept every receipt and when a Penn St calls he’s gonna say something like, “Yeah, you wouldn’t have called 18 months ago, right? Just a heads up, I’m gonna come into your place here in a couple of weeks and I’m gonna beat y’all like you stole somethin’. Thanks for the call.” I just can’t see it any other way. Do not underestimate the bitterness of an old man. taco corp, southsidehoosier, Dhop and 7 others 8 2 Quote

Stuhoo Posted October 15 Posted October 15 For those who have instagram, I highly recommend you watch the recent post by our own Mike Katic post-Oregon game. I cannot link it anonymously so you'll have to go find it - you'll be glad you did. Katic makes a bunch of pointed dietary recommendations for many specific national media personalites and for MSU. In keeping with the dietary theme, at the end of the vid Katic has a dietary question for Oregon football about how a certain Katic body part tastes, as illustrated in the second picture below! Stinks for UCLA! And things keep up at this rate I think we’re looking at hosting Gameday Week 12 against Wisconsin. There are much bigger games in the SEC, but Gameday has already gone to Athens and Tuscaloosa this season. Quote

Yea there are other options, but there aren’t any marquee games that weekend at campuses they haven’t already gone to this season. This is also assuming they’ll go to LSU (vs A&M) Week 9 and to Texas Tech (vs BYU) Week 11. Quote
Hovadipo Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Gameday could go non-traditional and head to 8-1 South Florida at potentially 7-1 (potentially 8-0 if they beat ND) Navy that week too. I don't see them coming to IU for a non-marquee game and I think it becomes less likely if Fickell is fired before then too. Quote

Really outside of Mcafee that whole crew can get bent. Which is a shame because I used to shape my Saturday mornings around watching my favorite Gameday segments until last season.
