There was some belief / hope that TG would retire over the last few years, but he wasn’t of a mind to do that. So he was told it was time to go, and that’s not what he wanted or expected from his employers of 40+ years. The coaching change provided a natural time to do it, but it wasn’t the new coach’s call at all. This was 100% the AD’s decision in a belt-tightening environment. Nice... so Tim Garl was "Woodson-ed". 8bucks 1 Quote

Pudman Posted March 31, 2025 Posted March 31, 2025 Just found out Nick Norton went to Central Catholic High School in Bloomington, IL, which was my high school’s rival, University High School. Not sure how I feel about the hire now. Those Central Catholic turds tried to fight me 25 years ago for hanging with their cheerleaders. #neverforget lillurk, mamasa, HoosierHoopster and 2 others 1 4 Quote

Popular Post Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 31, 2025 Popular Post Posted March 31, 2025 As for Garl, he'll be 69 years old this summer so it's not like he's getting cut out of his prime earning years. The times they are a changin' and this is as good of a time as any for a clean sweep. As for Cliff Marshall, he posted the following farewell message which is definitely the high road to take. “My family and I will miss being a part of one of the greatest basketball programs in the country. We lived it and we loved it. To the players, coaches, administration, support staff, student managers, fans, and media members whom I have met along the way, I am grateful for each one of you. I have learned in my 25 years as a coach that the results are temporary, but the relationships are eternal. I thank God for the moments that became memories over the last 8 years. I don’t know what my future holds, but I know who holds my future." JF87, thebigweave, HoosierHoopster and 5 others 8 Quote

What is going on ? Back on March 21st IUanon had tweeted that 'as expected, some in admin (or something like that) don't like my tweets so I will be deleting my account'. He then proceeded to tweet up until today, so not a surprise that he closed the account. I believe he had even listed a few other accounts to follow and one was dacoach one. In a lot of cases these 'different accounts' are just one guy tweeting under multiple user names. skhoosier2 and Home Jersey 2 Quote
