WV fans fairly pissed about losing him it appears. Good praise from McDermott. Hear he’s a grinder with awesome work ethic. Coaches in 1/4 zips along with staff, from the Midwest. Loves to recruit. How about X and o’s hearing he plays up tempo? Man to man D?

• 9 years as a HC at Marquette 190-96 (.664) and 90-56 (.616) in Conference USA/Big East

 

• Archie Miller - assistant for 8 years at WKU, NC State, Arizona State, OSU, Arizona. 
• 6 years as a HC at Dayton 139-63 (.688), in the A10 68-34 (.667) 

 

• Darian DeVries - assistant for 17 years all at Creighton. Through Dana Altman’s early struggles, turnaround in year 4, and sustained success through year 6 for McDermott. 
• 6 years as a HC at Drake 150-55 (.732) 78-33 (.703) in the MVC.

 

Averaged 25 wins a year. Finished 2nd in conference 4 years, T 1st once during some pretty good years for the MVC.

Optimistic.

I get that you're upset with the hire, but come on now. 

There were lots of people who were worried about Crean too. I remember going to Marquette's forum when he was hired and seeing how many people who happy that CTC was leaving for IU. That wasn't good at all.
