Basically everyone on the roster with eligibility if they'll let him coach them. Devries would need to bring some guys in to fill holes, but the core of Indiana's current roster can be a winning one.

I’m so excited to have an actual college basketball coach again. Guy recruits really well, has fully embraced NIL and transfer portal. Maybe it doesn’t work, that’s life, but this is the market. Successful coaches aren’t leaving programs with basketball commitment and decent NIL. Every example of recent “basketball school” opening has confirmed it. There’s a ton of data. I imagine Kansas will be in for a rude awakening too eventually. Let’s go. Portal SZN

McCollum: Excellent coach. Never recruited, assistant coached, or played at D1 or P5.

But has won multiple national titles and first year at Devries old school he was better

McCasland? Would have been a massively big time hire along the lines of Otzelberger. Wasn’t available.

this hire just seems like a panic reaction to both someone turning us down and Iowa making a play

This is actually close to my POV.

IU's standards have fallen; my biggest hope is that DeVries seems like the kind of guy who is not willing to settle for those middling standards. He does seem like the best floor coach since Sampson. But he'll have to prove it, and we are having to talk ourselves into him.

Yeah this isn't a flashy hire that's going to win the press conference, but this guy is a basketball coach who will put in the work. I've said it a few times here: I don't care about winning the press conference, I want someone to win basketball games. We don't need to win the off-season, we need to win games. I think Devries can do that, and I'll get behind him.
