As I mentioned earlier, leave Tom in Morgantown and Frazier. Kory is welcomed back to Bloomington with open arms, I’m sure he’s excited right now to be home again.

On one hand, yes... on the other, no guarantee Dusty actually wanted to be here either.

He's leaving after one year at WVU because he wants more commitments? This guy wants to win!

Been a lot of talk about the "want" factor... I love the idea of a guy who turned Drake around, turned WVU around, wants to take his all conference son and some high-level players with him to Bloomington and get to work in the portal. Taking his family and stepping into the "fishbowl" as they say... knowing what it entails

Not that this should influence the decision in any way, but as an added bonus, him being able to get to work now in the portal should be a big positive for next year's roster.

Think we have a lot to look forward to... including 50 year old DeVries battling 49 year old May next year

The fact he didn't want to go home to Iowa is telling about him!  I love this hire, right up there with McCollum for me!

In a group text with guys from several other BigTen schools, some who played at IL and Purdue. Getting absolutely cooked for this hire. Anybody got a comeback for me? What a kick in the nuts man….

Same man.  I think most agree that know me that I am the most blinders on supporter of most any coach we have had since Knight.  I think this is the one after sitting through 4 years of Woody that made me realize the amount of money I spend on going to games annually is dumb and over.

Lol, Indiana basketball is so cooked. Completely Underwhelming.

Oh well. Let’s see what he does with his 4 years. Not much expectations to beat.

20 conference games now

I’m talking UK. They went 10-8 in conference this year…..I was told to link an article to Pope hiring. That does nothing as UK had a pretty **** year overall. If yall are good with mediocre, which it appears many of you are, let’s do it.

Point is, when rival fans and former players who played at rival schools love the hire, you know you’re in trouble.

I’d never heard of Brad Underwood when he was hired. Again who cares? How many people mocked Cignetti for saying he was going to play in the B10 championship year 1 at IU (missed it due to tiebreak rules).

Outstanding information! And also begs the question: which did you think was more likely when you rolled out of bed this morning, IU having a coach by the end of the day or you writing a post using “Frisian”?

Honestly I would've told you the latter is more likely lol. I'm a history/geography/language nerd and love talking about these sorts of topics.

But also, Darian DeVries is just a cool name. Has excellent phonaesthetics.

WVU's response ...

Morgantown is not a pleasant place to live. This is the second year in a row a head coach has left after a year. Their WBB coach left to accept a B1G job after one year.
