Of course it’s possible that the time difference and schedules have made things difficult but this seems illustrative.

Would be hard to blame Zrno for at least considering his options — portal and coaching carousel mean the options have changed since his commitment.

Plus he’s gonna play roughly the same position as the coach’s son, although they play it differently.

You will never convince me that Zrno was not all about getting paid. I'm not saying that he can't play, but IMO, he was about the bag...

$10+ mil salary pool for 12 players. $600k is backup role money. Perfect for Gabe if he can learn to fix his pull-up jumper. He’d be a rotation guy. His D is still really good.  
 

Main guys are going to be pulling 2-3 mil easy with the new money. End of bench guys will clear six figures at IU.  
 

Ohio State will be one of the few schools to put up a war chest like IUs in basketball….maybe. No excuse for us not to have a top 10 roster/team next year.

True and yet I think he’d be your 3rd PG, if Enright is your backup/spot starter, Gabe would be behind him.

Maybe DDV wants him; who knows. Enright has a year of eligibility so he could be in the long term plan but my guess is he might want something more immediate.

Cupps has the reputation of being the first guy in the gym and the last to leave.

If he's a team leader and gets minutes, a mid-money slot is well spent on him and he doesn't need to be anywhere near Aaron Craft-level.

That’s done but he can’t shoot. His shot is not good. At all. It’s flat. Late release. You can find many other guards to do the work. He had his time. Ok to let OSU pay for a hustle guard who won’t be guarded for his shooting

I assume CDD is meeting with all the IU players as well as the ones going in the portal.  Is he allowed to talk to the recruits from WV that committed to him there or does he have to wait until they are in the portal?

They’ve decommitted so he can talk to them whenever. I think Chris said he expects the two who did that to follow him to IU

He shot 36% from 3 as a freshman. Probably close to 40 on spot ups.  
 

No offense, but you don’t put up those splits if your assessment of his mechanics is correct. He can’t shoot of the dribble but there’s nothing wrong with his shot on a catch and shoot.

Yep, I wouldn't mind Cupps as an 8-10mpg bench guy. If that doesn't fit with the new roster then I wish him the best, as he has always seemed to give it all for the team. 

However, at this point I think Goode is the only one that would return/be asked back, and he's a long-shot apparently.

To me, Cupps seems like the ultimate CDD player! Gym rat, high bbIQ, great teammate! We shall see.
