Would love a few big nasty monster transfers in the trenches for next year.

Let's hope this month fills holes for next season.  Remember, production > potential. Whoever decides to transfer here will most likely be a solid contributer to his current team.  And Coach Cig isn't afraid to look at G5 and FCS talent with chips on the shoulders.  

Definitely need depth at OL.

Agree, the staff is going to be busy in the coming weeks probably looking at 15-20 additions b/w HS and portal this month.

With the playoff system now they need to change the portal timing.  It’s not fair to the teams and kids in the playoffs.  Should wait until after the season ends or at least the week of the championship game.

Options are already popping up. NC State WR Kevin Concepcion is in. Basically a carbon copy of Myles Price, from Charlotte (staff seems to love NC kids) but it doesn’t appear that he received a JMU offer coming out. He was 2023 ACC freshman of the year and a freshman All-American. 

This will be fun to follow while we wait on the CFP bracket and the games to begin. 2024-25 portal thread coming soon.

He looks solid @Hovadipo, thanks for sharing!  Have you heard if the staff is following his brother, a '25 K-State WR commit, as well?

Him and Cooper would be an incredible start for next year’s wr corp.

Not sure, doesn’t appear so on the surface. And to be clear I’m not sure they’ll even go after Kevin. He was just a big name that popped today that fits some criteria of last portal season’s guys.

Georgia defensive back Julian Humphrey is entering the portal.  Started the first ten games this year at Georgia.  Was benched in the 11th game and then didn't play against Georgia Tech, so assume there was a falling out with coaches.  Will have two years of eligibility left and was the 19th rated cornerback in the class of 2022.

Thomas Castellanos, Boston College QB, enters.  In 2023 he ran for 1113 yards and passed for 2248.  This year he was bothered with leg injuries and did throw the ball well (62% completion and 18 to 5 TD/INT) but his ability to run was pretty much taken away and he was benched late in the season.  Not really an IU fit, but an interesting QB (and a very undersized one -- 5'9", 186).

There’s already an absurd number of 4/5 star WRs in the portal. We’ll be looking for guys that have proven it (ahem, Concepcion) but the star power is out there. Micah Hudson from TT is the most recent. No reason to think he’d be close with Myles Price, but you never know.

Sarratt (Sr in '25) and Cooper (R-JR in '25) are the only two WR's who received regular reps that are expected to return

They aren't going to fire him now, but if OSU doesn't win it all my guess is he's done. OSU this season was, quite literally, the best team money could buy. The boosters ponied up and bought him a team they felt couldn't possibly lose to Michigan again...and he did. They spent the past two decades dominating Michigan until Day came along. Now Michigan is dominating them and they're not handling it very well.

Given what CCC did in the portal this year with nothing to sell but optimism, I can't wait to see what he can do with results in hand. I would imagine that he gets a significant increase in resources ($) to work with. Can't imagine that the high rollers are anything less than wildly impressed with his year one. He definitely can identify talent.
