AKHoosier Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Pretty amazing where we are, and how quickly fortunes can change. Cignetti is making it look easy. My expectations have always been that IU just gets to a bowl game. All I've ever wanted is to look forward to watching IUFB during that week between Christmas and New Year's, when not much else is going on. At this point our floor is probably 8 wins, and that's being conservative. J34 and thebigweave 2 Quote

Mine was a London mule getting ready for the NFL game, but to each their own. As a barometer, McMurphy ranked IU 15th this week with his AP vote. thebigweave 1 Quote

I swear Alabama loses to unranked Vandy but only drops 1 spot in their poll. At least they didn’t go up a spot after losing.LOL J34 1 Quote

This is making me a little queasy to think about having to root for, but since IU doesn’t play Oregon the best outcome for them is probably OSU to lay a beating on them, correct? Quote

I think Oregon and OSU both pick up a loss somewhere along the way. My hope would probably be for whoever loses that game to lose again later on then we just worry about ourselves. The more national chaos the better because I don’t see us getting the benefit of the doubt this season outside of winning them all. thebigweave, Lebowski and MemphisHoosier 3 Quote

I'm making a lot assumptions here but assuming IUFB goes into Columbus undefeated (huge assumption!), we would want them with a lose already due to having a better chance to play in the B1G championship game after we beat them in their house. But we aren't remotely close to that scenario quite yet. IUFB vs Nebraska. Gotta win one game at a time. thebigweave and upperarlington 2 Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Rourke is the best IU quarterback since: _______. For me, I think he’s the best I’ve seen during my IU fandom. Penix obviously went on to kill it at Washington, but injuries kept him from ever fully putting it together at IU. Rourke is completing 74% of his passes and is consistently slinging it down field. go iu bb, thebigweave, ALASKA HOOSIER and 1 other 4 Quote
