2024 IUFB Season

Recommended Posts

DMc missed time this year with a concussion right?  That caused him to drop kind of like when a QB gets hurt and his backup tears it up. Sure there are more opportunities to play when a receiver since you can play multiple but perhaps he saw that the Rourke and the others had a very good thing going, felt extending his post concussion recovery vs getting less time to overtake one of the receivers made more sense.

Kid looked like he had a chance to play in the nfl based on what he did to end the year. So it isn’t out if the question.  Likely, maybe not, but possible. If the path here has become limited why give up your NFL dream.

Pretty amazing where we are, and how quickly fortunes can change. Cignetti is making it look easy.

My expectations have always been that IU just gets to a bowl game. All I've ever wanted is to look forward to watching IUFB during that week between Christmas and New Year's, when not much else is going on.

At this point our floor is probably 8 wins, and that's being conservative.

Mmmmm

this morning’s 6-0, bowl eligible coffee is exquisite. Never had this blend before.

Mine was a London mule getting ready for the NFL game, but to each their own.

As a barometer, McMurphy ranked IU 15th this week with his AP vote.

Up to 14 in ESPN’s rankings, though still behind USC. I swear

Alabama loses to unranked Vandy but only drops 1 spot in their poll.

At least they didn’t go up a spot after losing.LOL

Personally, my favorite is Notre Dame at 7. I don’t care if you beat everyone else by a million, YOU LOST A HOME BUY GAME TO A MAC SCHOOL. You do not get to go to the playoffs under any circumstances.

Oregon vs OSU next Saturday

I read somewhere that so far only one school won on the road in two different time zones.  IUFB over UCLA in the Rose and all other games the home team won.

O$U travels to Oregon.

You aren't giving the Irish bonus points for kicking the sh*t out of Purdue?

FPI bumps the gang up to a 51% chance of making the CFP. We live in a simulation.

This is making me a little queasy to think about having to root for, but since IU doesn’t play Oregon the best outcome for them is probably OSU to lay a beating on them, correct?

I just can’t, but the announcers talking openly about mercy rules was up there with Al Michaels “Do You believe in Miracles?” call.

I think Oregon and OSU both pick up a loss somewhere along the way. My hope would probably be for whoever loses that game to lose again later on then we just worry about ourselves. The more national chaos the better because I don’t see us getting the benefit of the doubt this season outside of winning them all.
