I stand by my thoughts of top 10 dollar buildings a top 40 or 50 roster.  
 
He’s gonna have his work cut out for him in the end.

You are correct because Florida starting lineup would look very underwhelming when those players came to Florida. They came from these places and two were 0 stars in high school

Staff means everything. He had an assistant head coach that had connections and brought players when he started at WVU.  He had Tucker and Yesufu. Same trick here with Tucker and Enright. These other schools have had an advantage, Kenny will help, but we still need another guy on the phones.

Don’t really care who ddv prioritizes in the way of players and coaches. The concern lies with the fact he isnt closing on the guys he wants.

Your posts about being positive (when you aren’t complaining about NIL, losing interest in todays college basketball, lament the style of play these days etc etc LOL) crack me up.  
My life isn’t encased in negativity, nor I am ready to jump off a bridge, because we might have lost Livingston.  I’m a fan, and interested, so will express that it is a bummer and then go on with my overwhelmingly positive life.

Noticing the same patterns that have become cyclical with Indiana Basketball and its fans. 
 

New coach is hired. Some red flags start to raise, regarding whether coach is able to have success. Some fans make mention of their concern. Others (usually the same exact people as times past) shame and gaslight them into believing everything is fine and they have no basis to have concern. 
 

rinse… repeat. 
 

People came to this board and many others and stated openly that Dolson had a goal to make this hire prior to the portal opening. 
 

Here we are WEEKS after the opening and we have  a total of 4 players on our roster. We’ve whiffed on guys we’ve prioritized. Players and coaches. 
 

Wilkerson leaves campus and visits UK, our chances to land him become slim to none. Anyone in sales understands this. 
 

There is a very real possibility that we end up with a roster that is worse than WVU’s from last season. 

We couldn’t be off to a worse start. 
 

but yeah…. Convince yourself that we are somehow going to pull a Florida and win a natty without reeling in any of our prioritized targets. 
how many guys did Goldin prioritize last year and flat out whiff on? Curious to know.

He can’t get the assistants he wants or the players he wants despite the financials in a world where financials talk.

 

We aren’t giving him the assets for it to take time. He’s tasked with building a winning team this year. He’ll need to figure it out a win some coveted players.

Well, of course that needs to happen at some point in the near future butt……he just got here.  Most likely trying to filter thru a ton of years of baggage this program has assembled and honing in on a structure that will work and be sustainable year in and year out.  Can’t just wave a magic wand.

Sounded like Louisville was on Conwell as far back as December.   Hard to compete for a kid that just entered the portal and the other school was recruiting him while he was playing at Xavier while IUs coach was coaching West Virginia.   Dix seemed to stay close to home because of a sick mom according to some on here.   Wilkinson hasn’t committed anywhere?  Who else am I missing that he hasn’t closed on his close to 1 month on the job.   Does closing on Enright and Reed count?

Spot on, imo. I’m rooting like hell for DD. The past two coaching searches have made it clear that there isn’t a savior who’s coming to save the day. We’re gonna have to strike gold and develop our own coach. I’m just seeing some red flags with DD. It’s been an underwhelming start big time.
