Based on the IU Fan backlash on Twitter, I would be reconsidering if I was him.  A part of me wonders how many other potential recruits were soured by our toxic fanbase.

If and when IU reemerges as a basketball power it will be because CDD or whomever comes after hits on a few underrated kids and coaches up some others ala Todd Golden or Dusty May, it will not be from bought college dream team.

And quite honestly it needs to be that way, if not you just end up with a modern and worse version of the Calapari UK yearly crash outs that are less sustainable in the NIL era.

Quin Buckner and Mike Woodson should both be persona non grata for putting their own selfish agenda ahead of the good of the university that made them both icons and multi millionaires.

Calipari went to 7 elite eights in 15 seasons at UK while we haven’t been there in almost a quarter century. There’s nothing stopping IU from buying a “dream team.” IU just won’t do it, and that’s why we’ll most likely be right back in this position next year wondering why we missed the tournament and why all our players are leaving.
