Fill in the rest with shooters and athletes Yeah if you have gripes with this hypothetical list idk what to tell anyone. Obviously this is a big wishlist but it satisfies everyone’s concerns about the mid majors and the productivity over potential that’s 4/5 high major P4 guys, all with significantly proven production. We won’t start him, but even if you plug Sisley in at the four as your high energy rebound and defend guy, that starting five looks a ton better than this years. To that point, if Devries doesn’t perform with that much production and better roster construction in year 2 the writing will be on the wall. Pagoda, Hoosierfanyuh and Kentuckysucks 3 Quote

I think Dolson wants to build through the high school ranks and will give him 3 years regardless of next years results. But the seat will be scratching hot if they don’t make the dance. So in Ryan Carr I trust. It’s a crucial portal season. I’m personally on the DeVries train, I think he can grow the program back, but his seat will be scorching hot if we miss the tourney next season, we need to make the tourney. I’ve been flogging the dead horse that coming in he lacked sufficient time, staff and any returning players. This offseason he has most of that. Still doesn’t have a lot in returning players but regardless whether that’s on him, he has at least Sisley and the incoming frosh group, probably Dorn, and the experience of what it takes in the B1G. Time to get us dancing. maybe instead of starting with “lose big” - the old first year coach saying - we now look at his first 3 years as - lose close (year 1) - win close (year 2) - win big (year 3) Napleshoosier, Hoosierfanyuh, J34 and 1 other 4 Quote
BA47591 Posted yesterday at 03:30 PM Posted yesterday at 03:30 PM I read a post stating Dolson wants to build through HS. Year one was a disaster compared to other year one coaches the previous cycle because of staffing. There should be no part of our fan base now that doesn't understand that now. We had visits initially and then the word got put that it was Drew, Nic and DD sitting in the players lounge working off a coffee table because Woody still jad his sh7t in the coaches office. We had no one that could call an agent, no one that had recruits they were working from previous stops. That's why we were loaded with "maybes". Flush year one. If next years team isn't a mean of Pope, May, Kelsey's year one, then gather the torches and pitchforks. I personally don't think a coach at any level could've done better with what was probably the second or third crappiest roster in my half a century of watching IU. Staffs get talent to fit the scheme and culture of the boss. DD needs Quote
Demo Posted yesterday at 03:51 PM Posted yesterday at 03:51 PM This is pretty funny. In this guy’s scenario Fru plays 40 a night and DDV is lying when he says he wants to get bigger. Quote

But because Woodson got all in the feelings of a bunch of old dudes he had to go. He had to go because he wasn't doing his job. It is water under the bridge at this point but Mike thought his job ran from November to mid April and he wasn't really keen on doing the thing over the summer you HAVE to do to be successful at this level. He tried to treat it like an NBA job where someone else acquires his talent and he coaches it. That isn't how college works, even in the NIL era. 50% of his job was related to relationship building and he was terrible at it. From messing up kids names to being the disinterested party when he was supposed to be shmoozing the kids. And I get it, at his age kissing 16-22 year old @$$ has to be pretty irritating, but that is what he signed up for. He was a Hoosier hero, people wanted him to do well. bird4par, Pagoda, skhoosier2 and 2 others 1 4 Quote

Hoosierfanyuh Posted yesterday at 05:41 PM Posted yesterday at 05:41 PM I have heard IU is prepared to make a major offer to Aiden Sherrell who played at Alabama his first two years. And as everyone knows, it of course is “PREPARED to make a major offer…” BECAUSE no way would anyone at IU be talking to anyone before the portal opens Via Eric (hysterics) AKHoosier, RaceToTheTop and HoosierHoopster 3 Quote

BA47591 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago You know we're due for this insanity to end!!! Why can't we bring in Sherrell, Fru, Miika, Suigo, Haralson, Vaakes, Burton? That would do it. Other than Vaakes we've heard something about the rest of them at some time. Aren't we frickin due? One big haul to turn this around and buy some time to develope some kids. Everyone I mentioned has multiple years. If you're reading this please bow your heads. "Dear Jesus, I have had the flu, a toothache and a mild case of hemorrhoids during the month of March, while turning 55. Im in the cvs parking lot now getting some more pills and ointments. I need this. The football thing is great, but we need basketball back. In the name of Jesus and the blessed Mother, Amen." Juwan Moye, Tasmanian Devil, NVFalcons1990 and 3 others 2 2 2 Quote
