I'll be honest I have yet to watch his film. But it's really impressive for NBA scouts to be interested in a D2 freshman. With the Elite 8 being in Evansville, I think Lincoln Memorial has been there a few times. Very good program.

Devries-Freeman-Bailey would be an incredibly talented and versatile frontcourt. If we start Bailey at 5, we need big wings like those two to help him rebound.

Would still want a sturdier rebounder/screener/shotblocker type of C in the rotation as well.

I saw Travis Branham say UT might be in the lead to get 5 star HS recruit Nate Ament and I think he is a SF as well.

Realistically probably 2-3 more major contributors left. As far as minutes go, I'd bet Wilkerson, DeVries, Bailey, and Enright are 4 of your top 7-8 in minutes played. IF Goode returns that's probably 5. I assume PG and rim protecting Center are left. Maybe a player like Freeman is in this mix. I like the plan so far in building this roster. I do think he wants to have a lineup with DeVries at the 4 and Bailey at the 5 for most of the time.

Beyond what you said I think you try to find some depth pieces with multiple years of eligibility who can play a role (even if just a rotation player) for you in future years.

Agree. Coach HAS to win this year and I get going after seniors. But I hope by year 3 IU has a solid core returning. 

I said earlier I haven't watched Freeman play but if NBA scouts are interested in him as a D2 Freshman, he's only coming here to start. I assume he can play at the same time as Tucker and Reed.

I don’t think that’s crazy if you have some budget and don’t love your options. Gotta feel pretty good with your team on paper but the chance a grad transfer pops after summer term is enticing. Presumably coaches know more about what’s possible in this regard than we do.

I'd be kind of surprised if IU doesn't have another commitment or two by the end of this week. Only so many minutes for next year are left. The Troy PG sounds like the next potential domino to fall.

Would agree broadly with these thoughts. Just to add: using Torvik’s roster tool, IU with just the guys onboard projects to be about as good as Northwestern was this year. Given that it’s only 5 dudes, that’s good.

Add Goode and they’re at about the Xavier/Ohio State level, ~top 40.
