That's debatable depending on your thoughts of the state as a whole. Sure, Bloomington is ok but it's a **** hole otherwise

This isn't it lol

Jasper, Columbus, Hendricks Co, Hamilton Co, Hancock Co... Evansville

All considerably nicer places to live than Bloomington.

Not spent much time here?

As someone from the SF Bay Area, Indiana is not a **** hole compared to that mess.

When the day comes when we've got recruits choosing between Indiana and San Fran, this comparison will mean something, as it stands, Indiana the state, is not a strong selling point for most recruits

Lived there for 25 years, I know exactly what that state is and isn't. More power to you if you find those areas to me massively impressive places to live but recruits and professional athletes don't seem to agree with you

Evansville is not a nicer place to live than Bloomington!

I'll die on that hill! Lol

Lived in both.

I know of multiple professional athletes or ex-pros, who live on one of the lakes in NE Indiana.

Newburgh? Plenty of the outskirts of Evansville are very nice.

I would prefer to live in Evansville than Bloomington.

Bad post.  Indiana is just fine and Bloomington is very nice.

And my point is Bloomington is reasonably  accessible, just an easy 50 min drive from a great midsize airport that is close to most of the US population.  Nothing like getting to Lincoln, NE.

No, it's an accurate post. Don't feel bad though, Indiana isn't the only boring state in the Midwest. It's simply on the list of states that nobody is beating down the door to move to,  athletes especially

You’re not selling them on the state, you’re selling them on Bloomington. Selling an 18-22 year old guy on Bloomington isn’t a tough sell at all.

Newburgh yes. Jasper yes. Alot of surrounding areas are nicer than Bloomington. I agree.

Hahah. Bc Cal Berkeley and Stanford are killing it in recruiting. You’re wrong on this one. Take the L and move on. And I’m saying that as someone from that area and chose to leave that cesspool and not go back. Indiana is a fantastic place to live.

This isn’t NBA free agency.

Plenty of very good bball players go to Lawrence, East Lansing, Storrs, etc.  Football players (and bball players) go Tuscaloosa, Athens, Auburn, Gainesville, Penn State, this list is endless.

Players are fine with college towns, and Bloomington is a nice one.  As a bonus IUBB players are treated like royalty here.

Again, my main point is accessibility.

And I know alot more who don't lol

Not sure of your point. You said that the state is not an attractive place to live for pro athletes. I pointed out that there are some who find it a good place to live. Was not trying to compare to anywhere else.

They're gobs of pros that live in Hamilton/Boone Co even after their playing days.

I'm not straying into a state comparison here kiddo. Again, I lived in Indiana long enough to know that "Indiana is a fantastic place to live" is nonsense lol
