I said it several weeks back.  Purdue had a chance this year and they are taking advantage of it.  Them winning a title this year would be a cherry on top of the absolute disaster that the people who run Indiana have overseen for the past 2 decades.  Indiana fans should be absolutely furious and instead we got sunshine pumping idiots crowing about all these double top secret guys we are getting in the portal this year.  And once we land whatever we are going to get, those same idiots are going to spend the entire summer telling us all how great we are going to be.  We'll get social media posts of how buff dudes are getting....

A part of me wants to hope Dolson knew a move needed to be made but got overruled, which would be a bad look for some people above him, otherwise he has as much business handling this program as his predecessor which is none.

Loyer played his High School ball at Homestead in Fort Wayne. Might have been born in Michigan.

Furst didn’t play tonight, did he?

His fall in playing time is about as bad as Connor Essegian.

He’s schooling for Med school so he might not care, but he can really play.

Loyer actually played 2 years in Michigan, and 2 years at Homestead.

FWIW, I’ve never been a huge get Indiana kids guy. I’m still not. But I’m a systems guy and I haven’t enjoyed Indiana basketball for about 10 years or so.

TJD gave enough he was a human highlight reel. That was fun.

I want an fast paced modern offense so badly. A transition offense. A shoot early shot if it’s a good shot offense.

This team probably will not make the tournament until the year 2026 at the minimum and we are living in the golden age of Purdue and don’t seem to care to do anything about it. What is the point anymore?

Ummm.. Smith got exposed tonight. Put him up against athletic guards and he wilts. As many turnovers as assists for most of the game and he didn’t score until it didn’t matter

Three of Purdue’s starters and four of their top eight guys are Indiana kids. They’re playing for a national championship Monday night. Meanwhile we’ll be trotting out a team of mercenaries from who knows where with ncaa tournament appearance aspirations. IU and Purdue are really in completely different worlds as programs.

Purdue has a nice run going but nothing historic. The defining factor is how God awful IU is. You have to almost try to be as bad as IU has been.  UCLA is a grease fire hiring people like Steve Alford and Lavin and still has made four F4's this century.   

 

IU is run by the dumbest people imaginable.  Sad but true.

Dumb.  Take away Michael Jordan and the Bulls were a mediocre playoff team.  This is stupid.  They have Edey and they are playing for a National title Monday night.  So you can save the Smith criticism and the "Well if they didn't have Edey" nonsense.

Painter is a good coach, Woodson is not. It doesn't matter where the players are from, Painter will still be a better coach than Woodson.

Painter has a system and culture that he recruits for. Woodson just cares about stars without thought of fit.
