I feel bad for the guy. I’ve blamed him at times for this hire bc I assumed he was responsible. I owe him an apology. 

I've given him crap for hiring Woodson but if Buckner is pulling the strings for his buddy them this crapfest isn't his fault.

Bad either way, but potentially much better…with something - ANYTHING - for the fan base to have hope about…if it goes one way vs. the other!!

Quinn needs to keep being called out publicly like this. It needs to be made clear it's all quinns doing is we pass on pearl when we could have had him. It will 100% be on Quinn if he doesn't allow scot to pull the trigger. Keep the heat on.

Instead of uniting us all the Woodson hire did the opposite. That is on Quinn.

I'm sorry but if Dolson has Bruce Pearl lined up and ready to go, no way Woodson is back. Buckner can cry about it all he wants but they would lose this program. I would support other IU varsity sports. I'd find another college basketball program to support too like a USI or UE...this is ridiculous and I can't believe it is actually a serious conversation. Bruce Pearl...a man whose track record shows he could turn this program around, wants to come here. But we want to keep a guy who has zero momentum? I think the pressure will only get worse..especially if they lose these next few games.

Does Buckner, in fact, have veto power on a board decision?  I can't imagine that is the case on a school's board of trustees.

FWIW, I have to say there is someone else that is willing to fight his current standing and that's Bruce Pearl.  Pearl must be in it enough to allow the rumors to come out while he's coaching another team.  Even seems to have fanned the flames with the 'threes beat twos' quote.

Exactly!  I remember when he played and what that undefeated team meant then and what it still means now but to use that influence to get where we are now, I’ve totally lost respect for him and Woodson.   I’ve mentioned on here that it isn’t my nature to hope we lose, but after all of this, I hope we lose our last 3 games by 25 points or more!

If Dolson goes all in and loses, I would expect his resignation within 6 months regardless of how much he covets working for IU.  If the board, any board, doesn't have your back, you likely won't win many future battles on issues of any consequence.

I have been skeptical of the Pearl rumors. But if Dolson really has Pearl lined up, I don't see any way that Woodson returns.

I would think the combination of Bruce Pearl and our NIL would give us a decent chance at retaining our core players + McNeeley.
