This is setting up for “Mike Woodson to retire at age 63.” 
 

As a courtesy to CMW, rather than it appearing he was fired or pushed out.

I am not disputing your last statement with the one I am about to ask...but if he is going to be back, why the f--- wasn't his staff out recruiting the 2025 kids last night?  That is my irritation with Woodson, he "really really" wants the job but he is unwilling to go out and perform the tasks necessary to be successful at it.

Indiana as a program has an uneanred sense of arrogance around it right now and Mike Woodson is the poster boy for that.  We have sucked too long and he has been too mediocre to bad since arriving to be arrogantly half assing things.

I love IU, my alma mater, but I find myself getting there too. I used to count down the hours to tip off on game day, even preseason games. Nowadays, I don't even bother. In fact, I find it mentally healthier to avoid watching IU all together.

Woody was never the guy. No one, college or NBA, was considering him yet we hired him bc why? He went to Indiana? The guy has failed everywhere, has zero drive, and is drinking wine and smoking cigars after getting waxed at home by Northwestern.

If we give him another year, I mean damn. Why? What is the logic behind another year? I don't think money is the issue and it shouldn't be at IU if we're serious about winning. We just aren't.

I will also say that someone I trust told me they found it very telling that at the beginning of February it was Woodson would definitely be back for his 4th year, then by mid-February it was the plan is for Woodson to be back, to last week it was we will sit down and evaluate everything at the end of the season. 

So not sure what we think Dolson is going to say at this point to anyone.

I'm not sure but in 3 years he hasn't landed a kid from the state of Indiana so it looks like he's not prioritizing the whole state

He only landed three hs recruits in two years during the fall period. He is all about the portal.

I would be shocked if it would be announced as Woodson being fired.  I would think it would be announced as a retirement (where Woodson gets all of his money) or that for health reasons coach Woodson would be moving into some other non-coaching role.  If Woodson is willing to one of those scenarios, I would think it could be announced prior to the end of the season.  

He can't use health reasons he just said last week he feels good and isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

There is zero reason for Woodson to get his 4th year if there is a verbal agreement with another coach. Zero. The cons of his 4th year absolutely outweigh any positives. If this is the state of IUBB for next year, I will not make a point to watch the games after the inevitable three game stretch where the same issues from the past three years appear. He is who he is, and he’s not getting the job done. Supporting the program with my time and energy with CMW at the helm is pointless to me. Mediocrity gets old.
