• Acceptable: "That post you just made is obnoxious, false, and stinks like @Uspshoosier's work shoes after a double shift."
• NOT acceptable: "We should launch you into a bad place because you bug the **** out of me."

So criticize the post, not the poster.

If those guidelines are not followed? The posts from the guy that's bugging you will fall within the rules and remain, but your posts insulting him will not. Capiche?

The way this is going down, I wouldn't be surprised if regardless of when Woody exits, Quinn has drawn enough blood to prevent Dolson from going after his top option(s). The fact QB will still be on Chair of the BOT when the search is conducted, regardless of his term being up in the summer, is a huge concern even if he does end up leaving when the term is up. The messiness we're seeing over the last 48 hours or so is him forcefully reminding Dolson of that... IMO.

It’s possible, but I hold out hope that while QB can be a pain on Woody’s exit, he doesn’t have the political capital to influence the next hire (except saying no to someone with baggage).  At this point, I think Scott has enough people on his side to give him control on the next hire.  Just my opinion.

It's easy to hide anonymously behind some user name on a message board and say things you would never say to someone face to face. In my opinion, shows the true character, or lack thereof, of the person making those comments. Much more than of the person the comments are directed towards. The other things you mention are all opinion or conjecture. 

Criticize away at the job performance. I agree that he needs to go based on that. 

I didn't see anyone say he or his people should have a special place in hell but of course could've missed that in the sea of posts lol.

We're in a new era ... The norms many of us grew up with around what's considered polite / civil / "good form" / respect for authority, etc. are changing. People want him gone for his poor job performance and myriad of other valid reasons. 

Sorry if people talking about those reasons on a free message board is upsetting to you my friend. He will be gone soon enough :)

I hope you are right but I suspect Quinn has enough influence he will still be able to take a chunk of flesh from a donor perspective, at least for a little while, which could make navigating the search process a bit hairier. Obviously all speculation... hope you are right.

The number of people that can’t understand that these things take time is really hard for me to understand. There are plenty of contractual and other legal considerations.  It’s not as simple as everyone seems to think.  The idea that Scott Dolson is just sitting around and doing nothing is mind blowing to me. It will happen when it happens. Unfortunately the suspicion that others outside of the athletic department are part of the equation is likely correct.  That’s why you have to proceed carefully.  It’s going to happen just be patient.
