A lot has changed in the last 4 years in the world. People are at different stages of life for all various reasons. It definitely makes sense, for a whole ton of reasons. And he´s what, 48? A 12 year contract sounds about right here...puts him at 60-61 and we´re likely back in the national spotlight again. Maybe wishful thinking...but to me, it makes much more sense now. 12 seasons with BS to have a head coach in waiting on his staff? Can you imagine the level of assistants he would bring on? 

It was BS or  Woody this last time around. Beard was a hard no from people that matter apparently. (I would want Beard if it ain´t BS)  I know that for a fact. I think most of you do too. 

The people who bring info here aren´t budging @ap2345 @Chris007 and others. It makes sense, doesn´t it?

Hoping for a win tonight. I stole a road win last night as a middle school coach. Best game of the year for my team in a totally unexpected way, why not us tonight?

 

I with you on the Beard train if it isn’t BS.  I there is a lot that either won’t root for him to succeed or him getting fired before he starts.  I will not state my case or argue with them because I respect everyone’s opinion and I will drive my opinion down others throats like ah1971 has and a few others.  They have their reasons and that’s the end of it

After the last four years, even I would be willing to accept Beard if we went that route.  It's not like he used a Christian organization to try to influence a rape victim *cough Alford cough*.

But Stevens is still option #1.  Should be for any team.

That’s exactly how I feel!  Plus, I’m at the age in my life that I may not witness deep run in the tournament but coaches like Stevens and Beard will give me a chance to see again, IMO

Anyone know if Beard is still with his girlfriend/fiancee that called the police?  It might be easier to gloss over his indiscretion if they were.
