How about no

Would be more fun if it were a yes.

I do think that in today’s game, with NIL basically being free agency, modern college programs need a GM so the coach can focus on coaching. Also helps to prevent the burn out we know exists with coaches and recruiting.

Most of it sounds about right. I was told the first offer that happened last week was still 7 years 70 million but could go up to 12 million a year.

I have never heard anyone mention Schrews name. Woodson has been open in telling people that IU is going hard after Stevens.

The other stuff about family seems to be correct but not sure about the Boston wanting him to fulfill his contract.

Woodson has been telling people IU is going hard after Stevens?! Damn!

Why would he want sheewsberry?  Does he know him in some way.  There is no Iu connection.  Only thing they have in common is they both aren’t good at coaching basketball from why I can tell.

I’m sure they have more things in common than 1 thing!

Does Woodson accept an NIT bid this year? Those decisions have always seemed to be telling

In what way? I do think it’s a strong possibility so he can keep his claws in the bb program a little longer

During halftime of the Minnesota game yesterday they talking about the College Basketball Crown, which is a new tournament sponsored by Fox and played in Vegas. It’s 16 teams and played the week before the Final Four. They were projecting IU and Nebraska to be in that field

They didn’t project that IU would be in it at the end of the season, just that would be in it as of now.

I’m sorry, but isn’t this an obvious statement? How else does one project except based on performance to date? Predicting future performance would rely on many more assumptions.

There are tools to predict future outcomes.

This could very well be Brad’s last chance at the job.  If he is to pass this time (again) and IU doesn’t totally massacre this hire, there may not be a change for 15+ years.

Now, knowing IU’s history of messing up these things, it’s possible he’ll have another shot.  But I’m guessing Brad recognizes our situation, NIL, etc and that it would definitely be a long-term destination job for other candidates (ie - May, Beard, etc.)  I suppose the only caveat would be a guy like Pearl, but sounds like that shipped sailed.

Anyway, I’m guessing Brad is highly contemplating if it’s now or never.

Just wondering aloud: has Stevens coached his son at all in prep or youth ball? I would guess not (haven’t seen if anywhere), but have no insight.

But he may only have 3 or 4 more years to do it, and Shrews isn’t on the hot seat at ND. You probably don’t make this sort of move just so you can coach your son, but I wonder if it tugs on your heartstrings at least a little.

Yes, I’ve wondered this too and it dovetails somewhat with my comment about coaching his son.

And there is the Woodson, Buckner, Ferguson and others factor!  Woodson will not g quietly into the night!

Yeah if he passes this time and Dusty takes then he probably won’t get another opportunity. Dusty is only two years younger I believe so he could have the job for the next 20 years.

This has always been the card I'd play if I was Dolson. Next guy will be here for a long haul so this is your shot Brad. Hoping Dolson is smart enough to know he has SOME leverage if Brad really does have interest.
