Put most of us on this thread before another year of Woodson. Most on this thread are very knowledgeable and would do a better job than him. I understand that's a low bar with his results and behavior but it's wild that it's true. It's also pretty sad. Most of the people in this thread would have IUBB in way better shape than what Woodson does. We would at least perform our coaching duties on and off the court and wouldn't be arrogant and disrespectful to the majority fanbase. It's sad that we understand what is required to be a successful coach and he is clueless.

Sad part is that I know I could do better than Woodson. Why? Because I’m totally cool with being wrong and adjusting on the fly. I would also hire people smarter than me to run the defensive and offensive plays and humble enough to give them all the credit.  Of course I know there are others better than me , but I wouldn’t be a complete joke to the program.

Also, you would probably go to HS games to watch players, watch a BTT game to see who you are playing next, not forgot or at least know the name of the recruit you want to talk to or check out.  Sigh, the sad part is that we have about 100 other things we could say that a lot of us would do that he just doesn't do.  He thinks that he can just sit back and let everyone else do the work.  If having a top 10 team or program were that easy, they wouldn't be doing the hard grind that is needed.  FIRE MIKE WOODSON!!!

Everyone has NIL, though. Like it isn't just us and while we might "have one of the biggest NILs", again, we aren't the only one with money.

Isn't Kansas State paying gobs of NIL to people?

Crean beat out UK and UNC for multiple recruits.

I want Woodson gone as quickly as everyone, but you all are flat-out forgetting how terrible MD+Archie were.

IU basketball has sucked bilge water since the waning days of RMK. Davis had an appearance in the finals in 2002... and Crean got us ranked #1 and to two Sweet Sixteens... none of that is evidence of a quality coach, or an exemplary program. Woodson has continued the epic slide in to irrelevance... Davis, Crean, Miller and Woodson have all had their turn rearranging the deck chairs in the Titanic, and we still suck as a basketball program.

Just fire Woodson and let's try to make something relevant happen here... but arguing over who was the best of the crappy coaches is pretty much pointless... NONE have had a positive impact on anything.

None of anything we talk about here has a positive impact on anything.

Davis' recruiting was a big problem and it certainly wouldn't have been helped by more money. He wasn't good at evaluating talent, instead he just went after the highest rated players he could find. He didn't care if they actually fit. Money may have helped him land some of his misses but it wouldn't have made him better at that. He also had problems putting together a well rounded roster with depth since he didn't take fit or roster building into account - just their ranking.

It's interesting how after 7+ seasons of Miller and Woodson, even Davis starts to look good to some people and a few wish for a return of Crean. No thanks.

I loved Crean lol

I can respect why it seemed like it was time to move on, but I will absolutely take the way his teams played 100000000x over Archie and lord knows Woodson's.

True, but at least for me it is cathartic. And debate about the future is more fun than the current season.

I just couldn't believe I read someone mention that 5 years of **** was "clearly" less smelly than this current 4 years of ****.

I also don't like that this site censors my **** talk. I'm full of ****.

Can we stop debating if Davis was better than Woodson? Woodson might take it as a challenge and get boat raced by Little Sister's of the Poor.

The Little Sisters of the Poor are UNDOUBTELY more mentally tough than we are.

If you did that all that is left for you to do is smoke cigars and drink wine.  :)

Chattanooga is going to learn a hard lesson in a few days. You dont take on the king on his home turf.

I noticed last night that Alabama played at North Dakota, and that it was because one of their players is from North Dakota. Rutgers recently did the same thing with a road game at Kennesaw State. I found myself wondering why we never do anything like that, then I realized Woodson may not even know where most of his mercenaries came from.

Can you imagine if Woodson scheduled an away game at Kennesaw St because a few of his players were from ATL and actually lost like Rutgers did? LOL
