The thing that's kept Woodson from 3 straight undefeated national titles (because his coaching is clearly unparalleled), his mortal enemy known simply as "the hump". I wouldn't say that Miller was better than Woodson, however. Woodson isn't very good but he's still an upgrade after the disaster that Miller was Since the discussion turned to Crean, I’ll share this here. This came directly, a while back, from someone who served as one of Crean’s assistant coaches. He said Crean was as good as anybody with X’s and O’s, particularly offensively. He was also as good as anybody at taking a player out of a game, giving him feedback on what he needed to change or do better, and putting him back in the game and seeing the results of that feedback. He said Crean’s biggest weakness was organizational skills, both long-term and short-term. That showed up in recruiting, and in the daily operation of the program. For example, there would be mornings where nobody would even know what time practice was that day. The assistants would have to text Crean for the time, and then text the players. So players often couldn’t even plan their day because they didn’t know what time practice was. cybergates, go iu bb, J34 and 2 others 4 1

His practices, especially if someone outside the program was watching, we’re intense and possibly were the reason his teams tended to fade down the stretch.

Have also heard this from people in the AD, the only difference being that the unknown practice times were more of the rule than an exception. Just an insane way to run a program no matter how often that happened lol.

Hornsby Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 At work but I saw this bozich tweet. Same old stuff it sounds like even with all the talent.Louisville 16, Indiana 10 at second media time out. Louisville in much better hands with Pat Kelsey than Indiana is with Mike Woodson. Cards playing modern basketball, pushing the pace and taking threes. Indiana obsesses with feeding the post and turning it over.11:18 AM · Nov 27, 2024·1,772ViewsSent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk
