I told my wife in the car when I saw the score was 60 to 32 this is proof money can't make a good team. You still have to create a roster and coach them . She said well how do you know he is gone. I said I don't but if he comes back oh man

He's making it sound like to boo this team is to be a bandwagon fan.

Losing this badly naturally gets this kind of visceral reaction from a fan base.  I know it's sometimes out of your control but it's not because the fans are going to ditch you and join, I dunno, Auburn.

There needs to be some self reflection.  Along the lines of “we earned those boos.”  The players need to hate to lose.  They don’t and are directed by a mediocre coach who is in way over his head.

I know there have been rumors about Dolson and how he was overruled and this is not his fault.

But no.  This disaster must fall on him and everybody who enabled it.  Fire everybody!

Extremely uninformed conjecture on your part - Scott is the catalyst that can/will return our basketball program to its rightful place in the CBB universe.

He may be but he let quinn come out and say he choose woodson.

Everyone responsible for Woodson still being here (and even hired) should be forced to watch this debacle. They chose this when they hired a coach no one else wanted then retained him when everyone could see he needed to go.
This is their fault.
The cooks don't care it's chump change to them.

Was at a Griefshare meeting tonight and the friends watching my daughter are Illinois fans I knew the game was a disaster when the husband opened the door with a big smile

My prayers are with you and your loved ones. Griefshare is a great organization and my sincere hope for you is to receive God’s grace, mercy, and peace.

It wouldn't have gotten to this point at UK. He would've been gone last year.

People complain about out fans, if their AD kept this clown around those fans would've had the HC and AD heads on a spike on the edge of town.

Most places like to fail fast. Realize your mistake, fix it, and move forward. At IU, we like to fail slowly, like snails. Realize your mistake, throw a bunch of resources into showing everyone you didn't make a mistake, and then try to put out the raging dumpster fire with a sprinkler.

Still remember 1987 and winning it all. I never thought it would take 30+ years with only a final four to show for it. Decades of winning, building history, and graduating players, now has become a terrible joke.

IU is afraid of the optics, they don't want to look mean. Hire a crappy coach no one else wanted? Have to keep him, it'd be mean to fire a former player even though many people today aren't old enough to remember those days.

The geniuses worried about optics with Woody somehow miss the ENORMOUS optics issue with being a terrible team that constantly gets blown out.

Don't forget IU has gotten really really good at excuses. Woodson completely destroys whatever foundation the next coach may have by being clueless? Built in excuse.

....truth be told, I'm sure (deep down, inside) Coach Cignetti would love to grab that mic again and say "IU BB SUCKS" right now!

I just watched their press conference appearance. Leal and Goode fully acknowledged and accepted responsibility and were absolutely excellent. They were far better than Coach Woodson in accepting reality; Woody was more somber and dejected and less forthright.

Which is par for the course for him
