No.  Just don't.

I do not like personally attacking anyone.  This includes Woodson and Buckner and Knight.  Maybe point out bad decisions, but why toss old players under the bus?  Even if they are doing crappy jobs in our opinions, say that.  Otherwise, it really is petty and seeking some sort of retribution.

Oh well.  MHO.

It’s not personal.  Just some fact finding and investigating to get the whole picture.  IUBB is the team of a public university and it has a lot of fans.  People should know how it is being run.  Maybe nothing is found, but it’s worth a look.

Osterman Was just on 107.5.

Most of what he said was worthless, but at the very end, I think he seemed to make it very clear that Woody is not wanting to go quietly

What does that even mean?

There is now no way Woodson will be the coach next year, it's already public that he won't be.

Does it mean he wants to "make some noise" with the team by winning some games? In that case, what is he actually going to do differently than he was doing before? What he's been doing wasn't working. Is he going to start trying all of a sudden? In that case, he should be fired for not putting in the effort until he was being shown the door. I guess some of the last few games look winnable, just like last year. So maybe they could win some games and feel like they turned it around when it was actually just a favorable schedule.

I don't really care what Woodson does at this point. He won't be the coach after this year. I don't think he can fix his image/coaching legacy in the last few games. It's more likely it's just more embarrassment for himself.

So many big time contracts are legal scams.  This one for failure.  Besides all the facilities, support, NIL money…..$8,000,000 reward for failure…and it goes on.. These are the best kind of gigs for those individuals who can get one.

I think we need to take some time contemplating Cronin....midwestern guy.....don't see any downside to his record...just as good if not better than some of the "not-stevens" candidates that we are throwing around....AND, more importantly, hes not at the top of the list and will come out of nowhere...like we got hit with Woody out of nowhere and nobody was talking about him on THIS board.

Ok, with that being said, my list is as follows:

1) Stevens (fantasy)

2) May

3) Beard

4) Cronin

5) McCollum

6) Few

I love the "discussions underway about his future"....LMAO...IU gonna frick things up again. There is no discussion...He needs to be gone. My boss wanted to fire me but I said "well, I might retire ..lets just agree to keep the discussion open"...LMAO...Unbelievable...Surely Dolson does not think the fan base would be upset???

Doubtful the “ discussions” going on are about whether he’s going to retire or not. These things are a lot more complicated than just saying “ you’re fired” as he’s leaving before the normal conclusion of his contract. And who knows where the origination of the word discussion came from? More likely, it was the ‘media’s’ way of being vague and not erroneously reporting facts.

I’m curious about the timeline for all of this.

I think we could get some sort of formal release today, but wouldn’t be shocked if this drags into next week as agents and lawyers hash out money and wording.

Even beyond that, IU still has a month of the regular season left, and then add at least a week for the B1G tournament, more if they rally or make the NIT or something (I don’t expect it).

Woody was hired 13 days after Archie was fired. Cignetti was hired 4(!) days after Allen was fired.

With the trade deadline in the past, if it’s Brad, I do wonder if we’d hear formal reporting about meetings or negotiations, unlike last cycle, just from the standpoint that he could theoretically line up the job before mid-March (and surely Dolson’s goal would be sooner is better).

Obviously I know that trustworthy folks here will be able to make reference to things that can’t be reported yet, but a long timeline like this is somewhat unusual in general, and at IU in particular, at least in recent years.

I'm not taking much from "we have our guy" to he honest. IU can feel good about where things stand and it not matter. We thought that last time and ended up with Woodson.

I'd be ecstatic to land Stevens, but going from the front office of one of the most storied NBA franchises to college coach is a big step down so I'll believe it when it's announced. Indiana could offer a big salary and the Celtics could still up it with something like interest in the franchise. Granted we don't know what his motivations are.

I'd just brace for something disappointing like Richard Pitino.

Please,no to Little Dick Pitino!

Need an announment today that he is retiring effective today. Anyone that cares about this man can not let him be on the sidelines or anywhere near assembly hall tomorrow

That's the real issue where I sit. The man has such a huge ego that he cannot see the big picture. He needs an intervention by those who really care about him, including his family and his buddies Quinn, Isiah, Wittman, Ferguson, etc... he's quickly becoming a national laughing stock... and all of these people who claim to love Indiana University are doing him and his reputation/legacy and the reputation of IU a huge disservice... it's like they're trashing the university and Woodson himself for their entertainment... and/or to "stick it" to the fanbase.

I get it that Buckner only has a few months left, but can we initiate a recall or impeachment effort against him. He needs to go, too.

My take...if things had been in motion for weeks, and you knew conversations were going to take place yesterday, with a high likelihood that it would be leaked...you would hope Dolson and team had done the prep work and would be ready to put out a statement or hold a press conference urgently to address, especially with a game tomorrow.

The longer this goes with crickets from IU, has me leaning towards a scenario where we were caught with our pants down and unprepared for this leaking yesterday, and we are now scrambling.

Will be interested to see what, if anything, comes out today.

We all knew that!  He’s a delusional a-hole, who thinks he’s done his job and still has a shot at barely getting in the tournament, which must be good enough for Mediocre Mike but not us fans!  He obviously doesn’t see the ramifications that could transpire Saturday because his ego and self absorbed attitude won’t allow it.  I’ve said it many times, he’s leaving kicking and screaming like a little 7 year old kid throwing a tantrum.  Dolson should have released him altogether, big mistake and he will go out of his way to make the university look bad!
