IU trails by only 1 and has the ball with 10 seconds to go. Painter is worried. IU has played well and Gallo, Ballo, Goode and Bako have all played well. He sees Price with ball and thinks "this guy hasn't scored all night must be a pick and roll or pass play coming up. Then he looks down the bench and sees Woodson, smiles, and thinks "Nah, we got this!".

I guarantee you if IU hires Ben McCollum and says you better win 20 games and make the tournament in year 1 or you’re going to be on the hot seat going into year 2, he’s not bringing over half his Drake team.

Expectations have everything to do within the timeline you’re able to do things you’re way.

This is just stupid. The AD,admin or fan base are not going to put a new coach on the hot seat after yr one short a sh*t show far eclipsing this years. And 20 wins and the tourney would be a yr 1 godsend not the hot seat benchmark.

20 wins and a tourney appearance in year 1 isn't even asking that much; I mean, Mike Woodson managed to do it.

That's back when TJD and Race were making CMW money overcoming his hockey line changes and complete lack of in game management

Woodson:  “Well, once he took off I couldn’t get to him. It was too late. The official had went by. Again, that’s just – we gotta connect better. That’s just the bottom line. Because our high pick and roll stuff was going well for us with the ball in Gallo’s hand, and we just couldn't get back to it.”

Moral victory clearly tonight from what I read and even the king seems happy. I hope dolson thinks different.

What a pathetic quote from a “coach”

Indiana Men’s basketball may win the big ten tournament.

They are way more likely to not make the B1G tourney than they are to win it.They are just 1 win above the cut bubble with few projected wins left.

I do not think what happened last night will play a big roll in woody not getting fires in season. Good game with another loss. Has the standard fallen this far? I doubt we bring that energy to Wisconsin. I doubt the fans at assembly are calmed by yet another questionable coaching job against our biggest rival! A loss is a loss. Let's just see what happens from this point. If I am dolson I am not sure I am thrilled to see our guys go out and compete hard against a top team. It shouldn't take 3 quarters of a season to play like they should have on November 1st or whatever date they started

He definitely has a mental issue, whether it is pathological narcissism or dementia induced memory loss or something else. He acts as if there isn't nationally broadcast video footage of him waving Rice to bring it up the court and then him staring, mouth agape, at another late game coaching failure.
His mental issue is called i don't know what I am doing itis. He is frustrated from fans and knows he has to cover up his coaching blunders. If he lies that gets put out on social media so the people who didn't watch will be OK with it

Not true on the cut bubble.  Fifteen teams make the BTT.  Washington has one win and then there are four teams with three wins.

That said, Penn State and Minnesota play each other twice, plus Minnesota still play Washington, Northwestern, and Nebraska, and Rutgers.

Feel for Leal, Galloway, and Goode. Those 3 understand what the rivalry means and played their ***** off. Very very winnable game at the end until it was time for coaching to win the game. Absolute war crime that the ball was in Rice’s hands instead of Galloway’s. There are no moral victories. Not even a timeout to advance the ball with 3 seconds left. Unbelievably bad.

What's the point of an in season firing at this point. This team is well outside the tourney bubble, there is no even moderately competent replacement on the bench, and there would be only a handful of games left after Wisc.

I expect IU shot their shot last night, that was the best effort you will see the remainder of the season, maybe they show up for IU/OU part 2, the rest of the games that they are expected to lose in they will give meager efforts, folding early and often.
