My biggest gripe by far is that you had virtually the same scenario vs. Maryland a week ago. You decided to call a timeout then, didn't work. So you decide next time in the same scenario, you're not going to call a timeout. OK... then Rice, and everyone else on the court, needs to know what the play is going to be when you're under 10 seconds and get the ball back (if he is not able to beat everyone else down the court and get an easy lay up first). Rice needs to be coached well enough to know that a referee on the road in a close game is not going to bail you out on a 50/50 at best call where you look like the one who initiated contact. 

And then the whole throw in with 3 seconds was just a mail in. At least rip off one of Jay Wright or Coach K's old plays, lol.

Maybe I should have said not all on the coach.I knew were screwed when Leal fouled out and Rice replaced him.He doesn't seem extremely engaged.

Took Purdue going on a 10-1 run and a Reneau foul. Literally the dumbest coaching decision of the month is coming out of that halftime up five and going to your big lineup.

We should've advanced the ball up court before calling a TO to work an inbound play...That IS on Woodson. And this is all on Woodson. We wouldn't even be here if it weren't for him. Arrogant, lazy, blaming the fans, taking a weak SoS to make himself look good when he's not, barely winning against that weak schedule and losing to good teams due to his piss poor decision making when it really matters. I respectfully have to wholeheartedly disagree with you here.

Ewing got two more years at Georgetown because he won the Big East Tournament when he was going to get fired.  As much as I would like to win the Big Ten Tournament, I don't want Woodson's job salvaged because of a miracle run.

Yea. But that’s a bad stretch. I’m doing the whole post knight era which is more pathetic given the time span, imo. Just trash. Everyone involved should be ashamed. Nothing new really, but watching Woodson  coach reminds me of that fact.

My one observation and only thing I will say tonight is Woodson seems to be frequently late in his recognition and decision-making. Last game he calls a timeout; this game he does not. Feel for the game is a skill, and his is severely lacking. Effort hides a bunch of coaching, and for the most part it did tonight, but when it mattered most he was late to act upon the game or did not at all.

If Woodson starts Reneau next game… He’s just not clicking with this team right now. 20 turnovers…. It’s frustrating that Iu played a good game tonight and still lost to Purdue. It’s frustrating because like at our best we still didn’t beat Purdue at that’s the problem with where we are at right now. IU is a great 9/10 seed in the big 10 tourney… but like come on that’s nowhere near where we want to be.

He’s not an awesome coach for IU.

Tonight was a prime example of how important a good coach is and how no matter how much you spend on talent it will only take you so far if it's not properly coached and developed. I feel bad for the players after this one. We're throwing away multiple winnable games at the end due to a complete lack of coaching.
