Buckner told him he could move on if he got a big name but it couldn't be Pearl, he tried Stevens but he said the timing wasn't right. So he got May, but Buckner said he wasn't a big enough name. Then he pulled the Archie got 4 years so Mike is getting 4 years. But Dusty knew before talking to Louisville or Michigan that most likely this job was going to be open this year hence the 5 million buyout I hope you are right. If we end up with a candidate worse than May, our administration is going to be mocked mercilessly (rightfully so). SlammySammy 1

Should put a high character guy like Cheaney in there instead of two low character guys that most people don't respect. He has no aspirations to be the IU coach. No risk of them making a run and maybe having to hire him (ie - Texas and O$U). I assume Ya wants to be a head coach and maybe Hunter has the desire? str8baller 1

Cal, Ya, Kenya, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, it doesn’t matter who is interim coach. This season is lost, and winning a few extra games doesn’t matter. There is no recruiting class to keep together. I’d guess we are hardly recruiting right now at all anyways. This whole team is probably going to be flushed by the next guy. IDGAF who steers this bus to the finish. It also increased his buyout, though it helps we can pay it out slowly, it’s still more money out the door. I’m sure Quinn was behind it — more money deposited to Mack Financial. That raise was one of the most baffling moves ever made by an athletic department.

Every game I've been to in Woodson's tenure, I've had very good seats and can watch the bench interaction closely. Rosemond appears to be, by far, the most engaged coach and isn't afraid to get into Woodson. Personally watched him keep Woodson from costing us the St. Johns game in his first season, Woodson was totally discombobulated. That was actually my first "Oh ****" moment with Woodson, just seems totally lost/confused at times. If you watch the games that Hunter scouts...those tend to be the ones where we look the least prepared. Lastly, Rosemond does seem to be the ONE good recruiter on the team. The only real successes that I can think of have come from him. Maybe he can keep the team engaged enough to fight the rest of the season and possibly keep a few around for the next regime. Just my 2 pennies worth. He is currently undefeated as (active) Head Coach, so....

Just make it clear it's an interim tag not leading to a full-time hire. I suspect that anyone on the staff could get some decent wins with our talent level...and allow us to end the season on at least a neutral note. Mr. Hoosier Pride 1
