He said if you watch alot of other teams they are playing harder than iu is for whatever reason. He said he watched auburn and purdue and was impressed how much effort auburn plays with. Imo woodson says some really stupid stuff. His latest was when someone said iu can't put a 40 minute game together and he disagreed saying we have played a few good 40 minute games and won by alot lol. I have watched every game and we have not had a full 40 minute game. That's hard for any team but for a coach trying to get his kids over a hump he shouldn't be praising anything they have done so far imo Sent from my SM-S926U using Tapatalk Maybe he meant total. If you pull out the good stretches from the sleep walking or blowout losses you might get a few 40 minute games in 4 years...might. jonz44 and coonhounds 2

It's why they're winning coaches. A winning coach gets right to work and has that car fixed up in no time. Other coaches complain about it, make excuses and blame the car's previous ownership. You can probably guess which ones our last three coaches more closely resemble. The point is that had the IU admin fired both CAM and CMW after 2 year of mediocre results, they would be raked over the coals for being overly reactionary and no respectable coach would want to deal with such dysfunction. Just as attractive as the facilities and NIL are, a heavy handed fickle administration would repulse them. IU is far from the irresistible cherry topped sundae most on here think it is. Woodson absolutely needed to go after 3 seasons, but not because he only made 2 NCAA tourneys(the first 2 times in 8 seasons) but because he is an absolute willful failure at recruiting, lacks any desire to get better at coaching, and has no ability and even less desire to build a competent staff. They only beat Chattanooga by single digits and got dog walked in the Bahamas.

Davis spent 11 years as an assistant to a Hall of Fame coach before taking over and Scheyer spent close to 8 years under a Hall of Fame coach before taking over (he was hand picked by K). Pope was head coach at 2 places each a step up before becoming the head coach of Kentucky. Each coaches where they played only major difference was those guys were college basketball lifers. I don’t really care if IU can hook an elite coach as long as the next coach has spent his whole career grinding in the college basketball ranks I will be fine with whoever they chose I hate to say it but you basically described Archie Miller

I certainly did, he wasn’t my first or second choice, but I was happy with it. Clearly the job was simply too big for him and his personality didn’t mesh with the fish bowl that is being the HC at IU. Sometimes it simply doesn’t work out, and that’s okay. I’m happy for Archie that he has seemingly found success again at a lower level. He was a hire that made sense. Hiring Woody never made any sense to anyone. It made sense to quinn and the old brass who hangs out drinking with woodson. This was old guard taking care of one of its own. That's all it was period. If these guys who went 62-1under knight really cared about iu and winning they would want Woodson gone yesterday. Instead it's crickets. I mean let's be honest if it 100% had to be a former player alford was clearly better than Woodson. You may not like alford but he at least had marginal success in college Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk tkbbn, IUHoosierJoe, Home Jersey and 3 others 6

Maybe based on his record alone it was a good hire but there were other things that should have been caught in the interviewing process. Like his total lack of personality, that he didn't want to fund raise, etc. Josh and Pagoda 2
