The “compromise” by Dolson to let this go down this way saved us some good cash on the buyout. Lot of litigation today. Make no mistake about it, this was not Woody’s decision to retire.

Woodson is making Mike Davis look highly competent and multi-faceted with some of these mistakes. 

Woodson is the worst coach we ever hired because he has better than than those guys and still stinks like. Looking more and more like he just wanted this job to get his behind kissed in public by older fans. Very ego driven.

Yes this was my understanding from listening to the podcast too. Just some additional detail: the joke Ya allegedly made was to call Woody a "rookie" lol. So Woody called Ya something that rhymes with Witch... And Ya swung on him.

If and it is kinda a big if. But if that clown got as far as a meeting with his assistant coaches to prepare for the big 10 tournament and didn't know who the opponent was then that tells you all u need to know about what the problem is and his commitment to this job. It's posted on this site usually right when the it's figured out. Hopefully he just misspoke and said the wrong team.

I was a diehard coaches show listener basically until maybe last season. This year they really lowered the amount of shows. Anyways when Woodson first got this job and had his radios coaches show it was scary the amount of stuff he admitted he had no clue about In college ball. He didn't understand basic rules. It was obvious he hadn't watched it even on tv. If you go back and find those first couple shows you will probably realize this guy was way under qualified and would have been a absolute miracle if it had worked out

Indeed. It also says something if he didn't know who had the responsibility to scout the next opponent.

That’s why Dolson hired Fife and Matta was retained for his role but MMW’s precious bruised ego got in the way.  To be honest, and this is something I struggle to admit, but I bought into the whole MW hire only because of Matta and Fife’s role but once that went awry, I was really skeptical of MW actually being a head coach.  To me, that should have been a strong sign that this program was destined to fail once those two went away!
