I hope what I'm hearing is right. But I'm told she knows this is his dream job and might be his last chance to get it, so she will not interfere with it. She is on board with his coming back if that is what he truly wants to do.

I do too. A hire like that would be nice after the clown show we've seen the last 25 years.

I could possibly see her being more willing with only one child at home, and if she thinks this could be his last chance. If IU makes a good hire, it could be; another like the last 2 duds he could have a shot in 4 years.

I want this to be clear: I think we have a shot at Brad, but I would still be surprised if he is the coach. I'm not getting my hopes up this time, but I like our chances; I just can't quite get there in my head yet.

He's comin' Chris! The White Whale is a comin'!

Well we sure care when we say Woody wasted 6 million.

True. And the thing with giving a market-resetting to deal to Stevens, and if Chris proves correct at a topped out 7/84 you’re doing that by a fair bit, is that he gets no runway at all. They better be good in November, really good in January, and competing for something meaningful in March. I don’t care if he hasn’t been in college in 12 years, if he’s making more than double what the winner of the last 2 Nattys is making he better be winning the day he gets here. As a matter of fact, if he’s the guy and they lose some Nov or Dec by double digits I may just  start a Fire B.S. thread on general principle.

I don't think that's true at all. If you start a thread like that in his first year, I think you'll be the one of the few people posting in it.

Why would you care how much money he makes?

Right now mamma is far from her son.  If Brad takes the IU job her son transfers to IU and they wouldn’t be apart.  Might be appealing to mamma.  They usually miss their boys.

And the daughter enrolls at BSouth and then later IU and doesn’t have to go away for college.  It’s perfect Tracy!

The last time they took a vote, he lost 3-1. One of those votes is at Notre Dame now. I think one of those has flipped, and no family will let one kid hold them hostage.

If Quinn is using IU planes to fly around the country, then we have donors who can lend their plane to the basketball daughter to fly home to see friends.

At 10 million a year you can afford to keep a home in Boston and B-town.

I get it. In our mind, life is an 80s coming of age movie where the underdog gets the hot chick. In reality, he ends up with some ball breaker who ends up spending his money and running off with his boss.

Haha, that sums it up perfectly.

That thread definitely wouldn't have much activity.

This thread wouldn't have had much activity in year one and he's not Indiana's white whale.
