You get Cig & Pearl then you are a hero around here. If you get Cig and stick with Woodson for another year then you don't look so good and will reflect on you when you retire.

He probably doesn't like it but his legacy is also riding on this offseason. 

It also doesn’t help his legacy that he hired Woodson, even if he was talked or forced into it.  So I’m sure he’s feeling pressure that the next hire has to be the grand slam.

If you don't think I have been fully checked out by people on this board, by people at this university than I don't know what to tell you. Many members on this board know exactly what I do and where I work. I have even had a poster from this site come to my office. 

But I have never gotten any info from anything I do with my job at IU. 

You have some grudge or something against me or people here. We don't dislike you, I kind of like you for how you stand up for you feel is right. I like your loyalty to Coach. Just chill a little. 

I don't know what is going to happen, I pass along what I hear. I've been wrong many times and each time I am it gets pointed out by Hornsby, Josh or Hoosier2017 or someone like that LOL.

Should I also ask why everyone on here who feels they know the team and game better than everyone post their resume that qualifies them? 
I will say it again - this changes NOTHING. It doesn’t mean one thing if Dolson is a quality AD at all. You don’t decide based on end of season wins, or what ifs with X. If he does, he is a joke of an AD.
My point is everything doesn’t have to be some referendum on why Woody is an idiot. X not being here has made a difference. These stat boys like ISP posted are picking and choosing things to fit their belief they know more.  Could easily rip that stat apart.  They are 1-5 this calendar year without X and 3-4 with him and that is with him dealing with injury the whole time. Not to mention we didn’t have Ware for Illinois and that game was very tight and easily could be 4-3 with X. Yep, all teams deal with injury.
He was the leader. Trey has slowly become one and you can see it. But it was X. Losing that all year has been huge to the confidence of a young team. You can see guys like Cupps try to be that guy and his teammates tune him out. There are games like Kansas that we needed that leadership on the court and would likely have been another win that changes confidence of this group. Things snowballed on them. Then fans get ticked, IU media article every hour about how they suck.
Multiple things can be true at once. Woody can be blamed for the roster, for some decisions he has made, etc. While it can also be true X would have made a big difference to how this team has felt psychologically all year. 

Why don't we all put out our personal info? Because we aren't all trying to gain dominion over the board with our incredible successes making us superior to everyone. If you want to use that fine but don't be surprised to have people call you out or just plain not believe you.

You are all correct, it has nothing to do with X because his +\- stats and his turnovers, etc If was pure coincidence they played harder than they have in a long time. I don’t know, maybe since Iowa? Where he played as well.

It is not in any way crazy to think this team is right on bubble line with X or in. Not at all. 

before anyone says yeah but first of year we sucked too. Yeah, we have a ton of new and young players. Woody was playing deep bench and X was still getting back to playing. That is hard to do and always takes athletes multiple games to get back to true form. 

The mere presence of a leader on the floor and dressed makes all world of difference.

Genuine question here but what leadership characteristics to you see in X?  What makes you label him "leader on the floor"?  Because a leader isn't something I would label him with.  A competitor?  Yes.  Leader. No.  If anything, that leader tag would go to Trey from my observations.

What in the world?  More reasons why he is clearly not in the right spot.  Great player.  Solid NBA assistant.  Good guy.  But not a college basketball head coach.  

Chris, I am not nearly as active on here as many, but I always appreciate your posts and information.  Keep up the good work and ignore any haters.

I would want to listen to his pitch.  It sounds like that is what got Cig going.  He knocked them out of the park with his pitch.  Before that, who knew him???  So if Dusty came in and had a knock your socks off plan, we would be way ahead of where we are now.  The plan can't be I'm not going to see HS recruits.

Reality... as you see it... Everyone has their own view of things. There is not an objective "reality" or correct/incorrect when it comes to assessing this sort of thing as a fan. All one can really do is use the whole picture, as they see it, to make up their minds.

If Mike Woodson bought himself another year because of one measly win against a Wisconsin team in free fall then he was already coming back next year anyway. 

Probably true wisconsin has lost like 6 of 8 and it was a home game they barely won

Same. Even went to that craptastic game we blew the lead a year or so ago. Always like beating Wisky.  
 

But the sooner Woody is gone the better in most scenarios.
