I guarantee if we lose our defensive coordinator we'll do better than a Georgia DB coach they were happy to see leave.

Yeah....his name is Pat Kuntz and he's already on staff

On Big Noon right now

1st line; 'People ask me why wouldn't you want to be the hot commodity...We're the emerging superpower in college football, why would I leave?'

That is awesome!  I love how he got out in front of any future speculation of other programs.  It seems he is truly happy to build things here.  Lets GOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Cigs made an appearance at the IU Dance Marathon today.

How great is it to have a coach who just gets it!

(Although instead of his "GO IU" chants, he should use the more traditional "Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoosiers!" LOL)

That’s some old school shite right there.

I'd take being good in football over basketball any day of the week!

Same. Living down in SEC country it is cool to where my IU gear and have people stop and ask about the team. It would be nice to have both but If I had to choose one to be a perennial top 10-15 team I would choose the football Hoosiers.

New contract deets. Big ole pile of money coming to the staff. Outside of getting a HC job, I don’t see the coordinators leaving now.

The contract still has a huge difference in buyouts. Still easy for him to leave but hard for IU to fire him.

Yep.

For all the $$$ we have committed I find his buyout number surprisingly small. Any traditional power/SEC team etc can come with that cash without breaking a sweat. I expected it be at least 27-30mm.

Indiana's $11 million assistant salary pool is a MONSTER number. According to a report, Ohio State this season bumped its assistant salary pool to $11.43 million, the highest in the nation. So yeah, there is clear commitment from IU in investing in football.

Yeah. I was expecting it to be about twice of what it is. Pretty much the range you stated.

I guess if he does bolt (which I don't expect), IU shows its willingness to spend and CCC's success will show that it's possible to win here. That should be attractive to good coaches.
