Yeah, kids prefer Nike, at least football and basketball players do. That's a massive part of it. 

Plus.. Adidas gear sucks, and the Adidas gear designed for IU sucks.

I'm just speculating here, but I think it might have something to do with NIL deals.  Again, pure speculation. I could be mistaken.

I wonder if Coach Cignetti will be allowed to offer recruits and/or portal transfers from James Madison.  I seem to recollect that the IU Administration (AD?) stopped Archie Miller from bringing in a PG he had recruited previously to Dayton.  

Not sure if it is apples to apples comparison.

If I remember correctly he wasn't allowed to run anyone off & we didn't have any spots open for the PG he wanted to bring in. But I could be wrong.

I respectfully disagree....Personally, I love Adidas. I am speaking about fan apparel, not basketball or football player's equipment. I know it's not about me, but the kids and what they like.  I love shoes and have never liked the way Nike shoes look overall and fit compared to Adidas. That's obviously my personal opinion.

On the Adidas relationship, I know Nike is more popular but from a $ standpoint would IU be better off? Right now we're one of the bigger Adidas programs I think, but if we switched to Nike then Duke/pUKe/etc all jump ahead of us.

Yeah Adidas is probably the reason I don't ask for much IU gear for Christmas. 

I honestly like a lot of Adidas gear, but for some reason their IU apparel is just not good.

I like their shoes, too. 

Show me a jersey, pullover, sweatshirt, etc, anything else thats IU gear that you like. Idk. I think it all basically sucks.

33 is pretty young for the OC and JMU is killer at hiring HCs so that'd be quite the leap for them. My hope is that he comes here, stays, and is a succession candidate when the time comes. (Very wishful thinking)
