Was trying to see if any "best coaching candidates" lists were out yet.  Not sure IU head coach is attractive for top candidates but it was a place to start.

So far the two names I have heard are ARE and Justin Frye. I would prefer an experienced head coach like Tom Hermon and an offensive-minded coach.

You have actually heard those names mentioned as possible replacements to CTA?

Love Kane, but he 1) likely isn’t leaving The South and 2) especially isn’t leaving The South to replace his dad’s fired buddy.

I really like Antwaan for his NFL experience, but wish he had some NCAA head coaching experience. I also can see Wommack.

Sure have. I think an ex-IU & NFL player is trying to put together the money to buy Tom out. I was told the negotiations had started. Those two names were just the first two names mentioned since were early in the process. I think both could be had for a fairly cheap price.

I did not realize Randle El was a baseball player as well as basketball!!!!

I think he was drafted by the Cubs. Played centerfield if I remember correctly

It scares me. If you do go that route you have to let him get some big-time coordinators to help him out.

I like what you did there but that is not who I was talking about. I think this guy's time overlapped with ARE though.

I wouldn’t mind seeing them hire Art Briles, people will say he has baggage and on the older side(it is working with Mack Brown and UNC). He had a legal victory last week clearing  him of negligence. He would bring his son as the OC and he is a proven winner. Briles does not have many opportunities, so he wouldn’t break the bank.
