Popular Post TheWatShot Posted October 23, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 23, 2024 IU basketball recruiting has taught me the following: 1) When our insiders think we're not getting someone, we're not getting them. 2) When our insiders think we're getting someone, sometimes we do, sometimes we don't. They already said we're not getting Mullins. So...see #1. thebigweave, Chris007, Loaded Chicken Sandwich and 5 others 8 Quote

The truth is exactly what I implied. Which fan base will value the Indiana star more, Uconn or Indiana? That answer is painfully obvious. From the minute he gets to campus to the end of his career, he could be state royalty. Not so much at UConn where he's just another 5 star to that crowd. thebigweave 1 Quote

I think UConn appreciates and glorifies any player who helps them win a championship, regardless of where they’re from. Sure more people in Indiana would be excited about him at IU… doesn’t mean he’s gonna be “just another basketball player” at UConn, if he is successful. 5 stars get the king treatment everywhere. Agree he is passing on a unique opportunity to be an Indiana legend though Crimson and Cream 1 Quote
IUCrazy2 Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 We have known this for a few weeks, the Twitter crowd has just started to find out. Early returns suggest that Woodson is going to have a bad social media day.... He better pray that the Bahamas go well. Home Jersey, J34 and Muskie plays the four 3 Quote

Right, because IU fans and media are always super focused on the 5* players we get. Like all the talk about Tucker. Oh, wait. Home Jersey 1 Quote
Popular Post HoosierTrav Posted October 23, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 23, 2024 Feels good to come here and comfortably say that I couldn’t care less about the loss of a homegrown 5* recruit. We are a football school now. Coach Cig is the main attraction and alpha dog on campus. Just like Payton Manning, he’ll have us all forgetting about our failures on the hardwood and renew our pride in something else. In doing so, it will drastically increase top line revenue for the athletic dept and the basketball program will indirectly benefit from its trickle down effect. Im not close to anyone in the know but I’d imagine Coach Cig is opening some eyes, in regards to the contrast between a true winner and a poser. Both guys talk the talk. Only one walks it. If the rumor that Buckner had all of the control were true, then this football hire gives Dolson a lot more leverage and political capital to make the next move. I’m not a gambling man but I generally have good instincts. My instincts are telling me that this season is Woody’s last. For now, let’s enjoy the rare opportunity we have in front of us…..to ignore a fall recruiting loss and enjoy our football team coming down the homestretch. They are legitimate contenders NATIONALLY. Stuhoo Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 Did you know that "Braylon Mullins" spelled backwards is "Snillum Nolyarb" whereas "Trent Sisley" spelled backwards is "FYou ImaBornaHoosier." Y'all may now discuss. HinnyHoosier, cybergates, OliviaPope40 and 3 others 2 4 Quote
