Chris Ledlum - Harvard Transfer to Tennessee -- Wait, Make That St. John's

St. John’s facilities are not good either lol

Ledlum likely knows St John’s facilities since he’s from Brooklyn.  If he goes there it would likely just be because it’s home.  But I don’t think a Harvard player is going to think being coached by Pitino is a selling point.

However, playing in front of hometown fans and in MSG(Pitino is trying to get about half the games there next year) could be.  With that said, the current roster is basically Soriano and no one else.

He is coming here. Way too much points that way until it doesn’t and a couple quick visits in the same weekend doesn’t

I sure hope so.... I just saw on HSN that Knecht is visiting along with Ledlum this weekend in Tennessee. Yuk!!

See my other post. Think it only helps us.

Is this the other post?

Or is there another one that suggests that Knecht visiting TN with CL helps us.  Curious why you think that

I made longer post explaining it. In target thread

if he is making the visit regardless, it can only help that Ledlum is there. They can’t take both easily, IU can and I am very confident that Ledlum likes IU which if Knecht was on the fence about visiting next weekend at all, he would be even more inclined to come.

I have even been on a visit where this exact thing happened. Both end up at the “other school” and not where they were visiting

Tennessee has a strange scholarship situation. My general understanding is that they have multiple seniors who could take an additional year but have not decided yet, plus they have Phillips who is exploring the draft but may return.

I'm not sure how likely any of them is to actually return - I imagine Barnes will assure Ledlum and Knecht that there will definitely be room for them, but without the issue settled that's not optimum for UT.

Barnes has really done well there and was a dark horse favorite of mine for the IU job a few years back.  I wonder how the players there feel about Barnes and if the involvment of TJD and Jalen in the visit here will help convince them this is the better place.  If they have 4 who could come back but are not sure it would seem that having guys like TJD and Race come back last year when most thought they were gone would be a nice boost for us

Even if only a couple of the four return, that is leaving less and less PT for incoming options.

Any word out of Knoxville?

Tennessee message board just said all they knew was that after he completed the visit he politely declined to be interviewed when someone reached out to him.  That said, I don’t think he did any interviews after visiting IU either.

I checked out a few Twitter feeds and didn't see anything on his visit.  Turning down an interview after the visit may just mean he's trying to keep things close to the vest.

Hopefully we land him.  He wouldn't be expected to be the primary scoring option here, so maybe his shooting numbers could improve with more spot up chances instead of off the bounce as much as he had to do at Harvard.

For all you social media follower believers, here is the run down this morning after Ledlum's other visits. This is just based on some brief searching of Instagram and I probably missed a couple.

He follows one St. Johns player

4 people from UT (2 staffers, 1 player)

From IU he follows Clif, Nick Virden (ops analyst), Hulls, Banks, Hogan (walk on), Isaac Green (GA), Cupps, Kel'el, Malik, Trey, X, Leal, and Adam Howard

Do what you want with this info. Ledlum will be a Hoosier, in my opinion.
