Galloway is a relentless worker and never underestimate a kid being a coach's kid (who actually coaches, not just is the 'coach' because his son plays). He played almost the entire game. Great game. He might have had better games, but he played the best in one counted most. ellen.walden, FortWayneHoosier and lillurk 3 Quote

And that would bother me." He might not be the greatest coach in the world -- but he's a pretty good dude. Watched his post-game presser and he was asked a couple really dumb questions, and he didn't bat an eye. Just answered them politely. And when someone would start to ask something, he'd look around to see who it was. The person would say, "Over here." He'd look in their direction and say, 'Thank you." Classy guy. Maybe not the greatest, but he’s a damn good coach. They can ***** about him tonight but I don’t know what you do as a coach to force your guys to hit jumpers or free throws. Not their best game tonight. He might not win a title…I dunno. But he can go the Keady route and make them a conf title contender forever. ellen.walden and lillurk 2 Quote
pappy1865 Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Bartended VIP bar for Montgomery Gentry at the Shrine. Didn't set the dvr. Figured I'd watch on my phone since I was in the auditorium floor with no tv. Phone didn't cooperate. Sounds like a good one. Hopefully catch a replay! TheWatShot Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Last night I had two dreams about the game. In the first one, we were winning with about 5 minutes left. In the second one, it was tied in the second half. I didn't want to post about this before the game because usually my dreams aren't the least bit realistic and I was afraid we'd get blown out. Quote
HoosierFan1994 Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Have no idea how the rest of the season will play out but man, it feels good to see IU back in the discussion of being relevant again in College Hoops. Lead game tonight on the Field of 68. 3 of the 4 last Saturday's they have played in one of the biggest games of the slate and won all three (Purdue, Illinois, @ Purdue). jonz44, BGleas, southsidehoosier and 3 others 6 Quote

They did better we expected. But a lot of teams (even the better teams) will have trouble with Edey. I'm still a bit confused about what I just saw tonight. TJD with zero pts at the half. Zero pts from our pts at half. PU had 46 boards vs IU's 30. Our PG play was great, and our 3pt % at 47%... Crazy.... pinch me. They are 3-4 for the month and that’s with big ten officiating letting them get away with murder. Team is in shambles thebigweave 1 Quote

Looked like a 3 star freshman at times. Talent is undeniable, but let's not pretend he's been a rockstar all season. He's peaking though. And starting more and more showing in 1R mocks. And getting more consistent. Felt strongly he'd back (earlier this year), but it's a coin flip for me now. If he had a strong B10 tourney, and/or dance, he gone... HoosierHoopster 1 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Not exactly run through the wall intensity. But then again, they shouldn’t need that. Prepared for the shell shocked look by the under 12, maybe 16. Tell your guys you better than them at every position across the board. Go out and stomp them and prove the doubters and WayneFleek wrong so he will shut the hell up. I’d like that talk a lot better. Confidence and enthusiasm…Welp.. beyond happy to be wrong and see the guys play gutty and earn the win. This was a big one. And we do have more “talent” at each position. Always have. HoosierAloha Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 I didn't want the 4 seed in the Big 1.o tourney but that might be our best route to championship game. Although, they could end up the 2 seed if they keep playing the way they have been. Quote

I hope he is the #1 pick (after leading IU to the Final Four) Yup, feeling similar.. Never thought TJD came back, but starting thinking the same with JHS. One and done guys are good (for recruiting) but sucks in other ways. I'm not sure we are "that team" yet, but I'd love if we'd be a team that re-loaded. Regardless, more optimistic of the future (recruiting, coaching, etc..) Quote

rcbowla Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Remember when the argument was that Galloway couldn’t shoot and shouldn’t be playing much this year? He has to be shooting well over 50% from three. He puts in the work that loves basketball and loves this school.Top 3 pt shooter in B1G. Needs to shoot more.
