FYI  I have no idea if this is accurate but Kent Sterling said on his afternoon YouTube video that he has a source saying Boogie is going elsewhere towards the end of him talking:

No idea how accurate this is but definitely the first I have heard that this is going against IU.

Hopefully he's wrong.  Fland would be a big get and with McNeeley could lead to an outstanding class.  I'm not one to count out pUKe and Cal though.

He is clueless on a lot of things and him and Dakich are best buddies. I wouldn't think he has inside info

Jasper Johnson is not reclassifying to 2024. Could this affect Boogie’s decision.

*edit - says he is sticking to 2025 for now. So doesn’t sound like it. Guess it’s not 100%

Was there even modern day recruiting rankings in 1989?

Not like now, but I believe Funderburke was #4. IIRC Leary was the lowest of that group.

107.5 local radio show this morning with Andy Sweeney mentioned UK will be happy on Friday.  our guys saying its IU(our insiders on here and HSN), a few outside of our guys saying its UK(Kent Sterling, Andy Sweeney).  looks like its truly 50/50 here.  buckle up.

I had a better feeling about McNeeley than I do on this one tbh.

Unless you grew up loving UK basketball....hard to see the advantage of going there for boogie right now: IU can offer more NIL, Woodson is a proven NBA coach and just put a top 40 recruit into being almost a lottery pick..has Melo influence....Assembly Hall is amazing vs Rupp Arena which is literally a giant shoe box. At IU Boogie would have more responsibility and more focus.

If you are a total outsider to IU and UK then I just don't see how UK is a better choice. OFC Im biased but honestly....name one objective thing that UK has over IU right now for Boogie.

Not to mention IU is just as big a TV pull and media focus as UK despite IU's mediocrity in the tournament the last 20 years. So, it isn't that UK puts you in the spotlight more...that's not true either.

Recent history of winning. Cal has a longer record of 1 and done guards.

I think this is a bigger deal than we think. I think UK is using it to their advantage. But I also think it's important to remember that Boogie is most likely not a 1 and done so he would have to play with Jasper next year. But when your as good as Boogie I don't think you worry about competing against anyone.
