rcbowla Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 B1G discussing a 22 game league schedule for 24-25. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/report-indicates-big-ten-considering-22-game-league-schedule-for-2024-25/Just a little closer to no longer having OOC marquee matchups. Bad decision if they were to do this. In fact I'd say the right approach is to go the opposite direction and back to 18.Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk HoosierHoops1, BannerVille and MemphisHoosier 3 Quote

Dump more of the crap OOC games. I don't really understand why we need to play Kennesaw St at all. We play 7 games against teams we have no business playing games against, imo. Can we narrow that down to 3-4? 22 games conference 3-4 good OOC games 2-3 games vs. poor OOC teams Quote

They'll just keep the "cupcakes" and eliminate the 3 or 4 "tough games". Otherwise I'd agree with your idea.Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk MemphisHoosier, thebigweave, BtownStrength and 1 other 4 Quote
rcbowla Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 Also I see enough B1G ball that by the end of the season I'm ready to see IU play any other style with any other officials.Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk taco corp, thebigweave, HoosierHoops1 and 3 others 6 Quote

For the most part if you are in a Power Conference you will have a solid SOS and just need to stack wins to 19-21, depending on the season. My biggest concern is the impact this approach may have to the premier OOC tournaments, e.g. Maui, Atlantis, etc. The challenges and tournaments are one of my favorite parts of the holiday season (don't tell my family!) rcbowla Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 I would think a simple directive by the conference could eliminate that. I don't know, to what extent, how much the conference can dictate programs' schedules. But even if they can do that I'm not sure they would. The conference wants as many of their teams in the tournament as po$$ible. They need wins more than SOS at that point.Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk Quote

Could be thinking of when we named the Fieldhouse for him a couple years ago. I think they also did something for him one of the last few years when we wore BHM uniforms in February? IU_FanClub Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Not really sure where to put this but fiancé and I are moving to Noblesville this weekend. Is there a bar or restaurant in noblesville or fishers where a lot of people gather for IU games or would going downtown to Kilroys be the best bet? Quote

We ate at Outlaws before a concert about a month ago, and the bartender said they have a pretty decent showing for IU games. Great food and atmosphere. Right beside Cabelas IU_FanClub 1 Quote
