Yup, walked up to him at a Juwan Morgan vs OG Anunoby HS game and we talked the entire 1st half until he took off at halftime and he could not have been a nicer dude.

I'd prefer a Costco cuz they have a food court. At Target, you have to hope the 'free sample' crew is there.

Why would you need a rectal exam during a sports physical?

So they confirmed that he did do this to players every year, but could not confirm it gratified him.  Disturbing and unnecessary.

I played sports in college and professionally. It was a few years before these incidents but it was normal to have this procedure done at physicals.

During that era I was in my late 20's and received annual physicals for work, and it was standard.

It was standard practice during my annual Physical, for my family doctor until he retired 4 years ago.   New younger doctor has newer methods (blood test PSA levels) so I think it was how they are trained and what they believe to be the best.  Like the guy who changes his oil every 3K vs 5K or 10K for newer cars.

That’s what I was wondering. Was it approved but not generally used or something? I had HS and college sports physicals and never had anything like that.  
 

But I did have two different versions of the hernia check thing. Some doctors wanted me to “turn my head and cough.” Others just examined the abdominal wall or whatever you call it. So I’m sure there are different approved ways of checking the same thing.  
 

I don’t know the facts in this case nor the medical procedures, but if everything they did was above board then some people are owed some apologies.

Agreed... my doctor prefers the PSA blood test, and frankly, I do too... and for synthetic blend oils, 5K is often enough...

I had a bit of inside info on this situation and it was looked at as a shake down for the get go. I am glad they took the accusations very seriously though. Different times, different procedures. Do you mind me asking where you played both in college and professionally?
