UK and Kansas..both should have more titles than they do with all the talented they have had. Meanwhile UConn has 3 since 2011.

Probably the first recruitment in a while where I wasn't nervous at all. Sounded like 3 weeks ago this was coming. This is huge for many reasons: 

1) Liam is a legit top 25 player. I'm not certain he is a one and done type of player but I think he can do all the little things as well as be a lights out shooter. Type of player you want on your team if you want to win a National Title. 

2) Eric from the Hysterics has said this but this staff hasn't shown they can win these long recruitments. They finally did today. Credit to Woodson and Walsh. 

3) I think this opens for Boogie and/or Queen to come to IU. Liam is going to recruit like you know what to get them. I don't think he comes to IU if he didn't think IU could land more 5 star talent. 

Really need to land one of Boogie or Queen due to the time you have spent on these guys. Accomplish this and you have something good cooking for 2024 and beyond.

As for #2, Woodson has only coached for 3 off-seasons in college ball. So this is really his only second chance at long recruitments. It looks like he's learned from past misses. IU offered McNeeley in April of 2022, so 1 1/2 years ago. How many recruitments of that length did IU have of anywhere near that length in Woodson's second off-season? At that time, Woodson had only 1 season of play to point at as far trying to convince recruits. Basically, he was still new to college coaching and it was a small sample size. I understand it was the guy from HH saying it, it just seems like a premature statement to make.

What has changed is that he had more time to get to know Liam and his family, he has 2 seasons to point at with the most recent one being pretty successful, he's had more commitments from highly ranked recruits, he's put 2 players into the NBA with one of those a one-and-done from Liam's school. It certainly didn't hurt that JHS has been vocal with how going to IU helped him. Success breads success, so ifIU does well this season and Mgbako and/or Ware get drafted in the first round this year, Woodson will have an even better chance of landing players of this caliber.

Kind of off topic...will this Montverde team even lose a game this year? They are just dominating these teams. That is with Liam/Derik being their 3rd/4th best player.

I doubt it unless 3-4 all have off nights, unbelievable talent.

Outside of the Nationals around the Final 4, will Montverde be on TV or a streaming site again? They are fun to watch. I'll want to tune in, especially if IU lands Queen.

The Montverde team I watched tonight was talented, and as good as what I can only imagine most college teams hope to be this year. I hope they do show more of their games. With the recent success of that program, one would assume they would. If IU lands Queen too, then it's one more reason I want to watch as many of their games as I can...but, even if they don't, I would like to find a way to watch them.

Good players want to play with good players.  Having a player like McNeeley on board helps with that.  Add a guard like Fland? Then even if we don't get Queen we can sell a talented roster to a transfer or late decommit.

I think ESPN carries most or maybe all of the NIBC games.
