I'm going to ask some questions about predictions and projections by basketball recruiting rumor sites.  ITH has posted on 10/2 that Rivals has McNeeley and Fland going to IU at 100%.  And Crystal Ball has Queen going to Maryland at 100%.

I do see that the two 'sports writers' for Crystal Ball are affiliated with reporting Maryland sports.  So I tend to take that into account but do not throw out Crystal Ball's predictions on Queen.

Ant Wright: "Mike Woodson, I'm impressed".

Woody's east coast connections may just make a real difference with Fland and his fam.

How come Rivals picks IU for McNeeley and Fland?  Why do they exclude Queen?

It is noted that McNeeley has been reported making his decision and announcing within 2 weeks.  I have to tip my toupee to the IU basketball coaching staff having reportedly pulled out all stops in this recruitment.  Well done.

Also to Btown Banners, Class of '66 Old Fart and Stuhoo and Demo and all of you IU fans...thanks for bringing basketball at IU 24/7, 365.  It is greatly appreciated.

I really do want IU to get Fland.  Going up against pUKy would be a challenge.  Seems that Woody and his staff are equal to it.  I think Woody has overcome his learning curve.

Just win, baby!

Maryland may be the “perceived” leader for Queen. As Darius Garland taught us, perceptions can change overnight.

Most insiders think Maryland is the destination for DQ because they have prioritized him like we did with Liam. Also, he's from the DMV so there are a lot of local connections that make Maryland a good spot for him.

We've prioritized DQ too, but not to the same extent Maryland has. For a while we flirted with Flory and weren't keeping up with DQ as regularly. Also, Maryland and Maryland supporters are rallying around DQ with really enticing NIL because he is homegrown talent. So much so that they may have taken themselves out of the running with others because they don't have enough NIL to go around.

No one thinks IU leads for DQ, but they maintain that IU and Houston continue to be a threat to Maryland.

I would also note that those crystal ball picks were made back in February. A lot can happen in 8 months and IU has really been working hard on his recruitment over the summer and fall. While those picks may ultimately end up being correct, they didn't really know anything when they made them and other schools do have a legit chance at landing Queen so I wouldn't put any stock into them at all. That said, it is still thought that Maryland is the team to beat here.

If Trilly Donovan is right about the Boogie commitment on the 16th (and if the IU fans are interpreting his posts correctly), it could be a huge couple of days for IU. Or a very disappointing couple of days. Either way, less than a week until we know.

Apparently the 16th has been subject to change now. He also stopped doing the count down. But no reason for the Hoosiers to not still be super confident.

He replied to a tweet last night asking him if the countdown was still on with a gif from "One Week" by Barenaked Ladies.
