Khristian was really bad tonight.  I still think once Rob's healthy that Khristian's minutes greatly drop.

Tonight we could’ve used Phin. Once XJ came back in from his rest in the 1st half, I felt like it set the tone for the remainder of the game.

He wasn’t as good tonight as he has been but is much improved from last year.  I thought Jordan was much worse.  He needs to play much better if he wants to continue getting minutes.  I’m not as high on him as most.  I just don’t see it.

Watched 2nd half. My sons 9th grade team played and won 48-8. Lol

I remember defending TJD all last season and singing his praises to a few.
His energy is improved, his everything is improved. Tonight was historic. Fantastic. He’s been a top 5 modern era guy for me before this season and he could easily push to 1. Love him as a player and person. Phenomenal game.

X was excellent tonight. We finally have a Dawg. FINALLY! He’s not smooth per se, but he’s a man. Really like him. Good grit fighting back and holding them off.

Enjoyed this one. Durr ain’t gonna cut it I don’t think. I’m going to enjoy this season with TJD but who can we get to help fill his void? I’m nervous.

Our bench was awful tonight. Really showed that we are going to miss Galloway more than I initially thought.

Yeah our bench stunk. We need Tamar and Lander to start working the stuff out. And we need LD to be ready to give us 10 good minutes.

I'm not sure why you think Duncomb is going to do that as a freshman.  He wasn't getting the exhibition games....I think that says where he's at right now.

8 points scored are very far from making up for all of that eye popping activity on the negative side of the ledger, and this post represents only half of a full critique of the bench. the other half of a critique of our bench would be a post showing what Marshall did to us while our bench was racking up the stats listed above. this is a powerfully poor performance. extremely alarming after what seemed to be some signs of possible improvement. now we are at the end of the cupcake schedule. our bench does not look ready to help us win games.

Well I am not sure who can replace tjd but hopefully get a solid big man transfer to help limit how much we miss him. Worry about that this off season lol. Nobody replaces someone of that caliber easily

Was a little bummed about the first half (D not O) but liked the 2H. 

Good 3pt and FG shooting. TOs were an issue. Race was off. Everyone else shot fine.

Always hard to replace a guy like TJD unless you're reloading with multiple 5 star kids every year. 

Perhaps Durr breaks out.. IDK. If not, I think we're going to be counting on Logan to develop quick or Banks to come in swinging.

A portal stud would be nice.

I can’t understand for the life of me how we haven’t had an elite big man commit. That PF or C role is beyond open

I do think Banks will be good. Averaged 23+ and 8+ last year.

The summer highlights I watched showed a ton of shot around the rim. Not saying he's a prototypical "banger", but he's got the moves down low. He's still skinny, and needs some S&C, but if he adds 20 good lbs, he'll be fine.

Banks will be a four but more in the mold of a 3. He plays like a wing or guard and not at all like a big. I love his game but he doesn’t simulate what TJD does. Our 4/5 project to be glaring holes and weaknesses. From a recruiting and roster make up standpoint we need to find a legitimate stud at the 5 if we want to feign to be a top 25 team next year. TJD isn’t coming back.

Banks will be good but if we are going to take this program to the next level we have to get to a point where we aren’t relying on non 5 star freshmen to come in and contribute. 
 

The lack of a big has to be addressed we either need a stud transfer or to keep TJD in Bloomington.

Brass Canon is right on this one. Ideally it’s a 5 star stud (Jabari Smith type, a transfer Oscar Tschebwe/Dawson Garcia type, or a guy on the roster ready to roll Zach Edey type).

I’m confident Durr isn’t the starting 5 on a top 10 team. Based on PT, Duncomb likely isn’t either, so we currently have 2 backup bigs. Gotta find a horse. TJD ain’t coming back.

I apparently have more faith in this staff than some because I think positions of need will be addressed. The portal is our friend and CMW knows how to use it. Not much different than free agency in the NBA. If our NIL program steps up, we should be fine.

I’m still not certain TJD ain’t coming back.  It’s all up to our boosters to make it worth his while.  
 

I love him but I just don’t see him playing in the NBA next year.  Outside of the NBA I would hope our boosters could outbid any foreign league.
