Josh Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Ok, I'm off the Woodson train. I was so ready for Archie to be gone that I'd support whoever got the job. But holy crap. How in the world can Woody continue to give so many minutes to Kopp and Stewart? Those two are absolute garbage. They lose us games. Woody don't care. He's going to play them extended time. That alone is enough to be off the Woodson train. ALASKA HOOSIER, MikeRoberts and tkbbn 3 Quote

Let’s hope that he ties his legacy to jakai newton, gabe cupps, CJ Gunn, JHS, etc. and IU wins a ton of games. I don’t have a whole lot of hope that happens, but I got nothing else at this point ALASKA HOOSIER, Josh and Chris007 3 Quote

He better find the most capable leader and spend a ton of time developing him, as a leader. This program has a culture problem (shocking). BtownStrength, ALASKA HOOSIER, Josh and 1 other 4 Quote

It seemed like nobody wanted to step up at the end. Xavier Johnson has been bashed on here for trying to play hero ball at the end of games (including by me) but at least he has the confidence to go for it. The rest just seem scared. taco corp, go iu bb, HoosierAloha and 1 other 3 1 Quote
8bucks Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Who do we have coming next year that gives anyone confidence we can have a legit 3 pt shooter. We also do not have a big coming to help down low. I admit this being Woodys first year and we know it takes time to get his kids in but I see a good PG coming next year but not ready to assume Gunn is going to be instant impact nor a ready to go college 3 pt shooter. The rich will get richer and we’ll get leftovers. Hope and pray for big man splash and roster improvement. Go through all this again next March. Woody will be exhausted after this season and if next season goes the same way, it’s over…. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app HoosierAloha, thebigweave, mark1981 and 2 others 5 Quote

The kid he replaced at Monteverde ryan Nembhard was having a heck of a year for Creighton and had taken on a leadership role until he got hurt. Ranked around 70. Easily their best player. Hopefully JHS can follow a similar path minus getting hurt HoosierAloha, taco corp and HoosierHoops1 3 Quote

I think you'd agree the Creighton situation is a little different than where we are right now. Uspshoosier 1 Quote

MikeRoberts Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 I just expected more fundamentals. Motion, screening, cutting, and it’s not there. Players that can guard or refuse to and don’t work to get open on offense dominate the MPG. it’s lunacy Josh, HoosierAloha and Leo 3 Quote

Last night I saw a bunch of helpers on the court but only Johnson seems willing to make crunch time plays. If we have these same players, they're definitely willing to give the alpha role to somebody else. IUc2016 1 Quote
maharkn Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Is Fife being groomed as the heir apparent? The only thing with fife is can he recruit? He really needs to start pulling some players in before he gets the job. Don't think he is tied to any of the recruits we are going after. Sent from my SM-A515U1 using Tapatalk RoadRage 1 Quote
AKHoosier Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Next year looks grim. We'll probably once again be picked to finish in the bottom half of the conference, 8-10 range if we lose TJD and Race. Let's just hope someone is left over in the scrap heap after UK, Kansas, AZ get who they want. Quote
