I lived in Bloomington for seven years and Boston for 13 years. The two places are culturally as different as night and day:

  • He is regularly recognized in Boston
  • He would be recognized by every man, woman, child, golden retriever, and lawn ornament in Bloomington
  • In Bloomington when someone passes a stranger on the street they smile and say "Hey"
  • In Boston when someone sees a stranger on the street they maintain a steady gaze toward the path they were already on.
  • In Boston when someone sees a recognizable public figure, they know that the public figure wants their privacy like they do, and they act accordingly
  • In Bloomington, when someone sees a recognizable public figure, they get a big smile on their face and they politely ask if they could maybe get them to sign something. Then they ask whether Brad and Tracy know their cousin in Zionsville!

Neither place is "better," but boy oh boy is it different!

+1 I always preferred the places where you can say "hi" to strangers on the street.

He is a scorer and Indiana has desperately needed a scorer. The only guy in the Archie era who could make his shot off the dribble was Devonte

That's gonna leave a mark. Devonte could create his own shot on one possession and throw the ball away the next 5 possessions...

Sam Story might just be the most irritating person on Twitter.

“hopefully a great day, but maybe not. That’s life”

thanks for the info, Sam. Very enlightening.

He's biggest attention where on the planet.  The guy has an ego bigger than Mt Everest.

I am not worried.

But I am pissed off about IU not being in the tourney.

And, I still do not "get" why Archie Miller couldn't recruit at IU.   He did very well at Dayton.  I hope that he will do well in his career.   And I'm so very glad that IU seems to be closing on Brad Stevens.

T minus 23 minutes and counting.  Then the big announcement:   Brad Stevens to IU!

(I have no idea of the timeline for the announcement.)

If IU’s playing in Tourney this year, IN Hoosierland,...we’re not talking about Brad right now. We would be probably looking at a guaranteed “1 more year”, or....gulp, an extension....
