Just started watching and Bob Ryan looks like they just rolled him out of the nursing home bed, threw on a shirt and told to start dogging Indiana. They literally just said that they are shocked that IU has not contacted Beard or ..., they must have their guy, but its definitely not Stevens. Goodman is a tool!!!!

90% of the posts on that board are about IU. lol... we have permanent residence in their heads.

Exactly. They are suffering from little brother syndrome. Always has and always will.

oh it gets better. Another dude thinks that it was actually our legendary soccer coach tweeting that.

"Their legendary soccer coach Jerry Yeagley's tweet is what's making me think this might happen, I guarentee he's got connections. Money talks, lots of their donors are sick of losing to Purdue, if he comes it will be a home run hire."

Honestly, I think what I hate most about them is all the self-righteous bullsh*t they try to throw at us whenever something good MIGHT happen here. They love to think we're all nothing but a bunch of overweight, unemployed, middle-aged men who live in their parents' basements and just browse IU forums all day. The post trying to mock JerryYeagley's sports fanhood...seriously, GTFO. My sports life changed when the Colts won a Super Bowl. My sports life changed when IU beat Duke in 2002. My sports life changed when my cancer-stricken father got to see Magglio Ordonez hit a walk-off homer to win the pennant. That's all he's saying here...it's not real-life altering to think that Brad Stevens may be our next basketball coach, and he wasn't trying to say it was.

**** GBI.

Goodman is committed at this point.  He is going to look like a flipping clown if Stevens comes here.  "He can't leave because he has an NBA contract with Boston and Satan himself wishes he had such ironclad deals."

Whether Stevens comes or not, Goodman is a know nothing clown.

@JerryYeagley23 's post has them a bit worried.

Their team is in the tournament as a protected seed and yesterday 7 out of the first 10 topics were about IU.

Never change GBI, never change.

Makes me a bit sad I got banned over there. All I did was post "Glad you were wrong?" on some Fire Painter threads they had a ton of at the beginning of their Elite 8 season a few weeks back when I saw all these Painter is the best, IU fans are delusional for wanting to get rid of Archie, we'd always support our coach, yadda yadda...oops.

+1 He is just gambling that he is right. He probably knows less than this board.

He'll be committed until about 5 minutes before the news drops. He'll then start tweeting that he was holding the Celtics back.

I guarantee he knows less than 0708, Chris, and Yeagley.  We may not land our man but even the Purdue idiots are coming around to the idea that something is going on.  I fully believe we are deep into the talks.  Now until things are signed, anybody could walk away, but it is very clear we have a sympathetic ear at the very least.

As I said the other night, landing Stevens will be great because I think in the long term that the guy is a winner.  But in the short term, I want to see guys like Jeff Goodman just eat a **** sandwich in the worst way.

To be fair most of them are after all Purdue, Bears, and Cubs fans. (Cubs fan myself). But with that they havent really had that opportunity to experience a sports life change. lol

I don't think so.  That is essentially what the Celtics forced the Clippers to do in order to release Doc Rivers.  Danny made them cough up a first round pick in order to release Doc to sign with the team.

You make it sound like Danny was doing something wrong?

The NBA isn't college. NBA teams can't poach other NBA teams coaches. The pick the Celtics got for letting their coach who was under contract go was completely reasonable.
