Also I am sorry to call you out earlier

It's a message board sir, I don't take anything to heart. I love everyone here and appreciate the discussion. I mean how many other teams have multiple message boards for their basketball teams? Outside of this, I don't really discuss the Indiana job with anyone. I hear to many wild names already, I don't need more ;)

No hard feelings, Scott!

That's for sure plausible, I'll give you that Scott. Nonetheless, it would be disappointing to know coaches don't want Indiana..

It might be more a case of them not NEEDING Indiana, rather than not WANTING Indiana. I think there just a lot of very good programs out there right now.

One trend I noticed about Beilein at West Virginia and Michigan...he led them to their best season in decades AND he left the program in much better shape as opposed to when he found it. If he's here five years, hopefully he has a team or two that can make a deep run in the tournament with a chance at a championship, wins a B1G or two, and leaves the program with a good foundation-that's a win.

I fully agree. While Matta has comparable results with final fours and championship games, I feel much better with this choice because it was much more recent.

I'm a believer too in right place, right time. Sometimes coaches may not want to leave the team they've built. Musselman started three freshman. Imagine when those guys become upperclassmen. IMO, IU's chances of getting him took a shot with them advancing.

Exciting huh. I don’t think anyone but Dolson knows and I think he’s not going to let it leak.

Agreed bud. I've just had a feeling all along that he has to have a plan. I mean just sitting back looking at a list of 20 names can't be a good plan. Key for me is how nothing has come out other than speculation.  Except the maybe going all in on Brad.

Arky is gonna open their checkbook to keep Musselman if necessary.

Exactly. Has anyone seen their campus or houses down there? Everyone and their cousin is RICH!

Their greek houses on campus makes Indiana's look like a dollar general.

I'll always appreciate your info but honestly I kind of like it that way. Leaves a lot of room to speculate and makes for a fun debate. I have no doubt he has a huge list but only probably 20% are realistic. I'm sure that's how it is with any big time job.

That being said I still think that he had a list of 3-4 guys who showed interest via back channeling. There is no way that they got all this money together for the thought of you know who coming here. There had to be a plan B, C, and D just in case.

I was going to say the same thing....Them advancing hurts IU's chance at him. Best season they've had in 25 years. They'll likely be the favorite in the Sweet 16 and probably will play Baylor in the Elite 8. I'm pretty sure they have money too. He's one hell of a coach and I'd like for him to be at IU.

Let's hope. I think it's all just smoke screens. All these names popping up. No one probably knows. Scott probably doesn't even talk to his wife or kids these days LOL

I think he took notes from Kevin Pritchard. The Pacers had a lot of names that got leaked by other people but then hired Bjorkgren out of left field with his name having barely been mentioned.

Well we are screwed if he's as bad as Kevin Pritchard.

I have heard his name once. I haven’t researched him but I would look.

Good God, just watch their offense. They stand around until 10 seconds on the shot clock and then Tre Man shoots a three. He recruits well, but couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag. I've got 2 UF grads and they are begging for him to go.

Probably. But Arkansas was a bunch of missed shots by TT from going home. I really wasn't that impressed by what either coach did. That game to me was decided by the players and not the coaching. Maybe just the nature of today's game.

Players have been missing shots and players have been deciding games since time immemorial. Shooting percentages have risen over the years

Shooting percentages have not increased but went way down

That's absolutely true. But we are arguing about which coaching candidate can lead us to the promised land. What I have seen from these coaches makes me think that maybe they aren't the difference makers. Maybe it's the coach who recruits the right players. I'm kinda over the drama of the search at this point.
