A question I have asked, but no one seems to know.  If we were to go to the Crown Tournament, but most of our team is in the portal, then what happens?  Does IU face some kind of fine?  They just go on to the next team in line?  This will be interesting for sure.

They couldn’t fine IU for having players in the portal. The only leverage Fox has is the TV rights contract they signed with the Big Ten and the other conferences they are holding hostage. I highly doubt there is a failure to perform grenade in the contract that would invalidate everything, but I wouldn’t be shocked if there was some sort of liquidated/compensatory damages clause which specifies how much has to be paid for not attending the “Crown” tournament.

Who was the first to let us know we got the "king" last time? Anybody remember?

Rick Bozich. Not sure where he was at that time.

Ugh we have waited this long what’s 1 extra week I guess

First 4 are March 18-19, so might not make more than a day or 2 difference

Understandable given what happened her 4 years ago…

People are just having a bit of fun, given the complete absence of any information or even credible rumors. An AD or GM running a tight ship has many advantages, but for us fans it does lead to frustration and idle speculation.

There was no confirmation on Twitter saying he was there, compared to the other 3 tournaments. Probably scouting for the Celtics

I imagine he wanted to avoid the circus and speculation his presence in Indy would have caused.

I think some people would call you not a true fan

Rooting for the team to lose is pretty lame. So people hate Woody so much that if he some how, some way, were to make a legitimate run in the tourney fans would be annoyed because it delays the naming of a new coach? Like come on that's pretty silly. At some point you can call fandom into question if you'd rather see them lose than win because you don't like the coach or a player.

What a story that would be if IU men were March Madness 2025 Champs

and even a bigger story if both, IU men and Ladies were 2025 March Madness Champs.

Not rooting for them to lose. After that lackluster performance in the big ten tournament—fueled by coaching —just realizing that is what will happen in the ncaa tournament as well. I’d rather not see the team embarrassed on national tv. Let’s just end this season and move forward.

I just don't agree. I'd rather see them in the tournament. Call me crazy.
