In fairness, does anyone actually believe McCollum was our first choice?  If we are pursuing McCollum, it is because we struck out with at least 4-5 other options.
I get that....however, he was portrayed as a top candidate yesterday and with very little news coming out about the IU job, it looks like he's higher on the list than what is probably reality.

My involvement is a no brainier. I've had my finger on the pulse of Hoosier nation for 50 plus years. My motivation is always what is best for the program, even if the fans don't realize it.

Woodson's tenure will go down as one of the most important in this program's history. Fans are unaware of the foundation he has laid.

Sit back and relax, ole Quinn will deliver again.

Go Hoosiers!

What question haven’t I answered? I don’t post everything I know, but I haven’t dodged any questions.

Did Shaka Smart (or at a minimum his representatives) interview or talk with IU recently?

Has a non college coach (or at a minimum his representatives) had discussions with IU about the job?

Has a former college coach and former NBA coach (or at a minimum his representatives) had discussions with IU about the job?

If Woody retired does he get any going away money, or does he leave that money behind.

My biggest concern regarding this search is how Scott referred to Woody as a “homerun hire”.  I just hope that was marketing spin and overcompensating for a crap hire versus actually believing those words.

Whatever Dolson said in Woodson's introductory press conference can be completely disregarded in the context of this coaching search.

1) Winning the opening press conference matters; you’re trying to project confidence, excitement, a bold vision, etc.; even if your new coach is Winnie the Pooh, you’re gonna do everything you can to spin it as best as possible

2) Dolson is not the same guy he was in 2021 when he hired Woodson and gave Tom Allen a massive extension. It’s fairly common knowledge at this point that Woodson was not his choice. But he didn’t have the leverage then to dictate that decision to the power brokers in charge. The fact that he was able to not only get rid of Woodson, but do so mid-season, tells us a lot.

I want Kathy’s job. Spending all day arguing semantics of forced retirement vs fired. Tell us about the process

She still hasn't denied my interpretation of her posts suggesting that IU has been in direct contact with a non-active coach...

She can't answer those questions while being "careful with her words."

How strong is a foundation built on incompetence, entitlement, ego, laziness and nepotism? Asking for a friend.
