P92 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Here’s my list of the order I’d call if I were SD 1) stevens 2. may 3. Drew 4. Few 5. Wright 6. Oates 7. McCollum 8. Pitino (Rick) 9. Beard 10. Alford id be happy with everyone but the last, but if everyone else says no, I’d give him his shot.

Think it's a testimony of the strength of the candidate list. RE: Drew, even if you ignore his first three seasons, he's only advanced to the Sweet Sixteen 5 times in 19 years and to the Elite 8 three times. Think his teams have often underperformed. The Championship is the only thing that keeps me from putting him down a category. lillurk 1
wirenuts Posted February 16 Posted February 16 This is all just opinion, and I'm sure they have made or will make the call but I don't see Drew leaving Baylor for IU. He has established that program from the ground up and the extra money might be all that is more than what he already has

I had hoped we wanted more. Throwing shade at 22 yrs with 4 Sweet 16's and a FF with 3 SS and the FF in the last 4 seasons, yet advocating for a 25 yr guy with 3 Sweet 16s and 0 FF's. Perfectly logical. thebigweave 1

He coaches at Baylor...

And then why not make your argument about playing style, instead of constantly citing wrong facts and contradicting yourself about what results are acceptable? thebigweave, cybergates and CSP 2 1

I don't bother with commenting on other people's rumors and beliefs. It just seems to antagonize them. It takes two to fight. If it costs you your peace, then it is too expensive. Never take criticism from someone that you would not take advice from. Everyone knows about rumors. And some people just do not exhibit critical thinking. Good luck. Come back when the hurricane of rumors is passed. Pretty solid advice here. Roll a big fatty and enjoy the Sunday funday. Dave from Dayton, Hoosierfanyuh and Indiana8585 3

Direct quote to CBN: “Everything we do in the program is Christ-centered.” I have no issue with people professing their faith, but I have serious doubts how he’d fit at a liberal institution or if he’d even be willing to go to one. https://cbn.com/news/us/joy-jesus-others-yourself-baylor-university-mens-basketball-coach-opens-about-his-faith As many know UK made a huge run at Drew before they went to Hurley and then Pope. IIRC Mitch Barnhart had a good, long-term relationship with Scott, so UK had an angle to get him. Drew’s family even flew to Lexington to check it out. As we know they passed. The reason is likely what OKHOOSIER stated — Drew and his family are extremely tied into the religious aspects of Baylor. We aren’t UK, but zoom out and IU is pretty similar, we just happen to be in a college town and have our teeth. I doubt he leaves Baylor for us for the same reasons he didn’t leave for UK. I don’t see a unique angle for us to get him. OKHOOSIER, lillurk, JPCIVOP and 1 other 4
maharkn Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Cronin had detailed answers, call backs to earlier game situations and players. Always critical of himself and looking to improve. Wants the league to go to a 1 day break between games on long road trips. PAC 12 was doing that. Stresses that they are preparing to win the tournament, that’s their focus. 1 day turnaround mimics the tournament so better prep for that format Points out that he is 9-3 in tournament games at UCLAI didn't want to fall asleep listening to it. Didn't sound like it was scripted. Didn't says there is plenty of season left and I need to figure out how to get them over the hump.Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk Stuhoo, Juwan Moye and MonteMarcaccini 3

Cronin has made decent tournament runs more consistently, and more recently. I'd feel a lot better if Drew had more recent tournament success. Baylor's Championship team is one of my favorite recent teams. They're also Drew's only time getting to the Sweet Sixteen in the last 7 years.

Popular Post Hoosier Guy Posted February 16 Popular Post Posted February 16 May has proven this season that he wasn’t a flash in the pan at FAU. If it’s not Stevens, I’d be thrilled with May. He’s an elite coach on the rise. 8bucks, Hoosierfanyuh, HoosierInParadise and 17 others 20
